June 18th

Aliyah

"We're here for at least a month," I told my parents after Niall and I finally arrived.

"You're serious?" my mom asked. "I get to see you every day for a month?"

"Yes," I nodded. "We're staying up until we have to leave for the last part of Niall's tour,"

"When does that start?" my dad chimed in.

"It starts the 18th of next month, but we have to leave a few days before that so we can pack," I explained.

"You're going with?"

"I am, yes," I answered. "I don't have any work to do during that time, so I didn't want to sit at home when I could join him on his tour,"

"I mean, yeah I guess,"

"How long have you known about Bryce being engaged?" I asked changing the subject.

"I found out towards the end of April," she answered.

"He barely told me a few weeks ago!" I exclaimed. "I thought I was his favorite,"

"Maybe he was nervous to tell you,"

"Where is he anyway?"

"He's not coming over until tomorrow," she answered.

"He must be scared to see me then," I smiled.

July 3rd

"I finally remembered that we need to tie-dye our shirts the day before," my mom said as Niall and I came up from the basement.

"I reminded you," I pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah," she said as she got more of the tie-dye ready for all of us to use.

"Get your shirt and head outside," my dad said to all of us. "Niall, stay in here for a while, I want to talk to you,"

"Why must you always want to scare him, dad?" I asked him as I grabbed my shirt from off the counter.

"I'm not scaring you, am I Niall?" He asked him.

"Not at all," Niall said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Don't let him scare you," I said to Niall before leaving him alone with my dad.

What could he possibly need to talk to him about?

Niall

I watched Aliyah walk out to the back with her brothers and mom. I stayed back with her father and waited for what he had to say.

"Have a seat," he said breaking the silence.

I sat down at the island and waited for what he had to say.

"You seem nervous. You nervous?" He asked leaving on the counter across from where I was sitting.

"I am, yes," I nodded.

"No need to be nervous, son. This is just a normal conversation,"

"What did you want to talk about with me?"

"Well, as you know Bryce is getting married soon," he said and I nodded. "I wanted to ask you when you planned on asking Aliyah to marry you. You are still thinking about that, aren't you?"

"Definitely," I nodded. "I need to pick out a ring and plan most of it,"

"Do you know the day you'll be asking her?" He asked.
