If you are here then it seems to me that you've finished Put A Little Love On Me. I hope you have enjoyed what I had written for you.
*The answers from the characters are from the time where they only have Aven*
On to the questions you've left for the characters and for me.
*
Q: How did Aliyah & Niall feel about each other when they met for the first time?
Niall - The night we met we were at an awards ceremony so she seemed a bit nervous. At the after-party, she was definitely the life of the party once she had a few drinks. As I got to know her more and more, she was more comfortable being herself around me.
Aliyah - I knew of him before the awards ceremony so I had a general idea of how he was or how people portrayed him to be. At the after-party, he got me a lot of drinks so I knew he was a party guy and loved to have fun. He has always been this way even without any alcohol. I love that about him.
Q: What are Niall and Aliyah's favorite thing about each other?
Niall - I love how she is so caring and kind to everyone. I love that she's family oriented and makes her family her priority. She's also a wonderful mom.
Aliyah - He's such a funny human. He can read the room really well and know when he can be serious at times or when he can have a laugh. I've seen him like that a lot with Aven. He can change his mood when it needs to be when he's with her. Like when he plays with her or when he is teaching her little things. He's just such an amazing dad.
Q: What kind of movies does Aliyah act in?
A: I based Aliyah's character off of the actress Lily Collins, so with acting wise, the same kind she acts in. She acts in romance, thriller, fantasy, but mostly romance films.
Q: What accent does Aven have?
A: Aven began talking while they lived in London during the quarantine so because of that she has a slight British accent. As she gets older, I picture her to have a slight Irish/British accent with a bit of American as well.
Q: Did you know how you wanted the story to be? Was it planned?
A: I knew that I wanted them to be best friends and eventually date, but I didn't know the exact time line of it all. Once I had 20-25 chapters written, I knew how I wanted the book to go.
I always knew that they would have a child and then get married. That was the end goal for me. Everything in between was a mystery to me. After I would finish writing one chapter, I would have to think how the next chapter would get me another step closer the the ending I wanted.
The "planning" portion wasn't something I had written down word for word. I didn't have a chapter by chapter time line of each and every detail. I had notes on my phone of different ideas that I would want to use. Some got used and others didn't. That's just how I personally write.
Q: What was your favorite point of view to write?
A: I've only written in Niall and Aliyah's point of view, so that's all I knew for writing this book. I wrote more in Aliyah's, but writing in Niall's P.O.V was the most fun for me because it was more of a treat. I didn't do it much, but I liked knowing what he thought and how he felt about certain situations.
Q: Which character do you think had the most development?
A: All of the characters had some kind of development whether it was small or not. Aliyah had the most because at first she swore by not dating Niall because they were friends. She let her guard down and ended up marrying him and they had kids. It was great to see how she developed as time went on in the book.
Q: Would you ever do a sequel?
A: If I ended the book at chapter 90 after she had just had Aven, then I would've considered doing one. Because I wrote the bonus chapters, no, I wouldn't.
I don't think there would be any point in writing a sequel because I've already shown glimpses of their future together. It wouldn't be right for me to go back in time and pick up after Aven was born when you (the readers) know what the future holds before the characters do.
Q: Why wasn't Zayn involved?
A: I wanted to have him involved, but didn't see a good place for him to come in. It also made sense for him not to be in it at all.
Aliyah met Niall when Zayn wasn't in the band anymore so it didn't make sense to me to have him show up out of nowhere and be apart of their lives.
Q: How long did it take to come up with the story?
A: Niall's song Put A Little Love On Me came out in December 2019 so I wanted to write something that had to do with it. Once I knew I wanted to write a full book, I started writing down different ideas into my notes on my phone. I tried to organize them into some kind of timeline that made sense.
I began writing full chapter by the end of December and I think I may have even started posting them as well. For me, it's quite easy to come up with ideas and began planning out a possible book even if I don't start writing full chapters.
Q: Would you write another Niall fanfic?
A: I would if I felt right about it. I would need to come up with new concepts and ideas before I could begin writing. As of now, I don't have enough time to do that while I write the books I'm working on and everything in my life. I would consider it though.
Q: What has been your favorite book you've written?
A: I think Perfectly Lonely has been my favorite to write. I've only written 20 chapters of it, but it's been my favorite so far. The Instagram series was a lot of fun because I got to take photos and create my own story about what was happening within them.
I love all of what I've written for different reasons but my new story has been my personal favorite.
Q: Did you have any specific comments that you loved seeing?
A: I loved all of the comments I've gotten. I love reading people's reactions to different parts of the chapters. I read all of the comments and try my best to respond to all of them, so keep leaving them for me.
Q: What would you have done differently while writing this?
A: I would have tried to write this book faster. I don't like that it took me almost 2 years to write this entire book so I think I would've tried my best to plan out each chapter and then write it right away.
Q: Was there anything you didn't expect from writing this?
A: I didn't think it would take as long as it did to write this. I also didn't think I would get as many reads and votes as I did. So thank you for reading and voting.
Q: What is your next book going to be?
A: I'm currently writing a new book right now. It's called Perfectly Lonely and it's a Harry Styles fanfic. Once I finish that I may be writing another Harry Styles fanfic called Picture Perfect. They are both on my page if you want to find them.
