Niall

To my surprise, I woke up before Aliyah's alarm had gone off. Not once have I ever woken up before any alarm. Also, I woke up with her arm around my middle and head on my chest with my arm wrapped around her.

This wasn't a first for us. Cuddling. Anytime either one of us is feeling down in the slightest, we go to the other and cuddle until we feel much better than we were. Cuddling was like second nature to us.

I never really liked to be this close with someone in the past. But ever since meeting in November of last year and us being together almost every day, I can say that I feel one hundred percent comfortable around her. I'm not this comfortable around many people, but she's different. A good different.

I looked down at her sleeping face and smiled. She looked so peaceful and content.

I wish I could tell her how I felt. But I knew I couldn't. I knew she wasn't ready at all for a relationship. After she told me about the last one she was in, she mentioned that she didn't want to get into anything serious for a long time. That even meant me.

I wanted to know how she truly felt. But I didn't. Would she ever want to be more that friends? Did she see me as something else? That is what sucks. I will know how I feel, but might not ever know how she feels. I wish I had the courage to tell her.

I looked down at her again and noticed she started to stir. She'll be waking up very soon.

"You better not be staring at me," she mumbled.

"I'm not," I responded. "At least not anymore,"

"Weirdo," she said while trying to cuddle even closer to me. "What time is it?"

"Almost 8:30," I said and put my phone back on the table beside the bed.

"Why are you awake this early?"

"My body woke me up. It was done sleeping,"

"Go back to bed so I can keep cuddling you, you're warm,"

"I'm not tired anymore," I informed her.

"Fine, but you stay still so I can sleep some more," she said pulling the blankets up to her chin.

"I'll try my best," I laughed.

I guess I fell back to sleep with her because I woke up to the alarm going off. I groaned and tried my best to drown out the noise.

"Turn it off," a sleepy Aliyah had said to me.

I grabbed her phone and quickly turned off the annoying alarm. I rubbed my hands over my face not wanting to be awake. "I guess I'll get ready, you keep sleeping,"

"Come back, you were keeping me warm," she said once I left the bed.

"If I get back in the bed we'll fall asleep again and then we won't make it home today," I said getting some clothes from my suitcase.

"Ugh, fine," she groaned. "Go start getting ready then,"

I quickly took my shower and got dressed while I was almost positive that Aliyah was passed out. I left the bathroom and sure enough, there she was curled up and sleeping.

"Aliyah, wake up," I said shaking her lightly.

"How about no," she recommended.

"Nope, it's time to get up," I said taking the blankets from her.

"I hate you," she mumbled.

"No you don't. Now get up so we can leave soon,"

"Alright, alright," she said and sat up. "Why are you wearing shorts and a long sleeve shirt? Make up your mind. Are you cold or not?"

I laughed at her comment as I started getting all of my things in one place. "Go take a shower and get ready,"

"I'm going," she said picking out some clothes and going into the bathroom.

Once I heard the shower going and was sure she was in I knocked on the door. "Can I come in?"

"Go ahead,"

I opened the door and went over to the sink. I began brushing my teeth and quietly listened to Aliyah humming a song. After I finished brushing my teeth, I started doing my hair.

Once that was done, I left the bathroom with my things and put them back where they were. As I waited for Aliyah to be done, I sat on the bed and looked at my phone. I texted Mully letting him know that we  would be getting home sometime today.

'We'll be home sometime tonight, just letting you know.' ~Nialler

'Alright, sounds good. Where are you guys now?' ~Mully

'Teo hours away from Red Rock. We still have a long time to go. But we plan on being home tonight.' ~Nialler

'Be safe. See you later tonight.' ~Mully

Just as I received that last text, Aliyah came out of the bathroom. She was only wearing some leggings and a sports bra. "You're asking me if I'm cold? You have half a shirt on!"

"I'm not done yet," she said going back to the bathroom with her brush and a hair tie.

While she was in there I put my shoes on and looked around the room to make sure we had all of our things. Once I checked, I put both of our suitcases by the hotel door.

Aliyah came out of the bathroom with her hair in a side braid and a black hoodie on. "Is this better?"

"I should've know that you would just put on a hoodie, this seems like your go-to outfit,"

"If you add the black vans then yes, it is my go-to outfit," she smiled.

"Are you ready to leave?" I asked as I waited impatiently by the door for her.

"Did you make sure we had all of our things?" She asked me.

"Yes, I did. You just need to grab your phone and charger and we can leave,"

"Alright," she said walking over to the outlet where her phone charger was and unplugged it along with grabbing her phone. "Let's go,"

I opened up the door and started walking with my suitcase behind me. We walked the long hallway to the elevator and got inside.

Once we got down the the lobby, I handed Aliyah my keys so she could go out the car while I checked us out of our hotel room.

"Have a nice day," the lady at the front desk said to me with a smile.

"You too," I said before pulling my suitcase out to the car.

I made it out to the car and saw that Aliyah wasn't outside, so she was already in the car and waiting for me. I opened the trunk and put my suitcase inside and shutting it. I climbed into the driver seat and started the car.

"Are we stopping anywhere to explore today?" I asked her as I pulled out of the hotel parking lot.

"I'm not sure yet. I'll start looking," she said unlocking her phone and started typing.

As she was looking for any kind of place for us to go to, I made my way to a Starbucks drive-thru. I ordered our normal drinks and food. I handed Aliyah her food and set our drinks into the cup holders.

"What did you find?" I asked her as I began eating.

"We can go to the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada," she suggested.

"Sounds good. How far away is that?"

"8 or 9," she answered.

"Looks like we'll be making it home at 1 or 2,"

"But we're visiting some cool places, so no complaining," she warned.

"Alright, alright," I laughed. "Put some music on or sing to me,"

"I will not be singing to you," she said and hooked her phone up to start playing music.

"You will be soon. I just need to get you not so scared to do it,"

"I'd like to see you try,"

"I will and you know it,"
