Aru was on the verge of tears when she woke up, camped in the middle of the woods, sweat dripping down her forehead. She had a dream, or a vision, where Aiden had pure darkness in him. Now, she was lost in the woods, alone, with just her thoughts, and that was never a good combo.

Aru shivered, freezing, despite the fact that she was sweating like crazy. She had read from so many novels that so-called "demigod dreams" were visions. With the dream-vision thing she just had, there was no doubt that she needed to defeat Kiera. And fast. Aiden's life was on the line.

Aru groaned as the bright light of the sun shone on her face. She didn't like waking up to bright lights. Aru brushed her teeth, using filtered water from the river to aid her. She created a makeshift shower curtain out of her multi-purpose tent, and took a shower, praying that no one saw her.

Once she was all ready and good to go, the lines on her face seared. Aru screamed in agony as the pain grew increasingly worse. She gripped her face, trying to stop the pain, though she knew that her efforts would be futile. Gradually, the pain lessened, but it didn't stop as the lines were throbbing, sending stinging waves all throughout her body.
