~ Plb and Trips

Boo limped, his little kid eyes widened and flooded with tears of pain as he slowly reached the campsite where the others were. Just minutes before he was able to contact The Potatoes ( Except Aru ) and teleport to them using his jewel. However, due to his physical condition, he could only get so far, without walking the rest of the way. Miraculously, he had not bleed out to death yet. He heard distinct laughter from a light through the trees.

That's definitely them. Can I make it there? He thought. Do I have enough energy to teleport there?

He managed to muster the energy needed to get there. Immediately, his knees buckled, and his eyes closed as he fell to the ground with a Thump.

The potatoes craned their necks to see what had happened, as their eyes grew big at the sight in front of them.

Rudy screamed (he's been doing that a lot lately) as his mind raced, his thoughts coming back to one thing, "Boo. On the ground. In a pool. Of his own.... BLACK BLOOD?!?!?! THIS CAN'T BE GOOD."

Nikita placed a hand on Boo's heart, checking his stability. Her eyes softened in relief as she said, "He'll be fine," everyone collectively sighed, calmness flooding through them as Nikita continued, "The herbs I gave should be able to heal him for the most part."

Aiden caught what he hoped was a mistake, "Wait. Did you say, 'for the most part' ?"

Nikita nodded grimly, "The poison is too strong for even me to completely remove. The healing process won't take long, but Boo won't live longer than a month."

Aiden banged his fist on a tree trunk, silently letting the tears flow as everyone else tried to console him. Boo was out cold when they heard footsteps and rustling behind them. Out came the one and only, Aru Shah, here face strewn with panic.

Aiden and the rest of the Potato people stared at the girl in shock as she knelt beside the poisoned 10 year old boy. They stayed there in silence for who knows how long, waiting for Boo to wake up from his slumber. Silent droplets streamed out of Aru's eyes slowly, as she held the young boy's head in her lap. Soon, Aiden sat beside Aru and held her, giving her some reassurance. She sobbed into his shoulder as Nikita repeated her solemn words from before.

Boo started to wake up about an hour after the water-works had stopped pouring out of Aru's tear ducts. Today was not a good day at all. Boo was poisoned and Nikta couldn't save him completely.

Boo woke up, exhausted, but alive. He thanked the Potatoes for helping him, but before he could leave Aru stopped him and pulled him to the side, "You might be a ten year old, but you have the mind of a 10000 year old grandpa. So, I need you to look after them. I knew Aiden would break his promise, and now I need YOU to make sure they go back home before I cut your Oreo supply."

Boo was horrified, "You wouldn't DARE!"

Aru smirked, "Oh. I dare," her smirk dropped, "In all seriousness though, Boo, please. Take. Them. Home."

Boo shook his head, indicating that was nothing to be done, and that was when Aru hatched her ingenious plan to leave when everyone was asleep. No. That's literally it. She would leave when everyone else was asleep.

She stayed with the Potatoes for the night, going over some facts and sharing jokes with them around the fire. She was aware of Aiden staring at her the entire time, and decided to talk to him later. Once everyone was asleep, Aiden gripped Aru's wrist and pulled her to the side for some "friendly" Q/A.

Aru struggled trying to break free from his grip before saying, "A-Aiden. You're hurting me," Aiden looked at her, his eyes big, before letting her go. Aru rubbed her sore wrist.

"Sorry Aru. I didn't mean to-" Aiden started apollo-gising ( Gotta have them punz right?? - PLB ) before Aru cut him off.

She looked directly into his eyes before saying, "It's fine. What did you want to talk about?"

Aiden was taken aback at Aru's frankness. He took a step towards the girl and cleared his throat, "I want answers, Aru. I want them now. You keep disappearing, your parents don't know where you are, Boo is almost dead-None of this would have happened if you just talked to us."

Aru glared at him and Aiden flinched, "So your saying," she softened her voice and looked down, "this my fault."

Aiden ran a hand through his hair and sighed, "No. Of course it's not, Shah. But-"

Aru stopped him once more before continuing, sending a look of pure regret and fear, "But if I hadn't left, you wouldn't be here looking for me. Boo wouldn't be dying. Rudy wouldn't be getting hit on the head 24/7. And I would have to bottle up all my questions in a diary instead of getting the answers I need," Aru's voice was soft now, but she cleared her throat before asking, "Is that right, Mr.Acharya?"

Aiden gulped at his last name before gathering his bearings and having a stare down with Aru. They both backed down after a few minutes, realizing that they were getting lost in each other's eyes instead of fighting about the actual topic at hand. Both teens sighed, before Aiden took Aru's hands in his and told her, "I've been worried. That's all. I know you never meant for this to happen. But we'll find a way out of it. Alright? Let's just get some sleep. You can take my tent. I'll sleep outside. Rudy set up a canopy anyway, since he thinks I'm going to throw him outside again. Honestly, that kid is so weird. And he still hasn't given up on me being the lead singer in his make-believe boy band."

Aru giggled, making Aiden blush. They went back to the tents, and Aru crawled into Aiden's tent as she bid goodnight to him, and thanked him for sleeping outside. She waited for him to fall asleep before she silently walked out of the campsite and back to her treacherous quest. As she left, she only had one thought in her head, "I'm so sorry Aiden."

Little did she know that a certain someone, specifically Boo (Lol. Did you guys think it was Kiera? Pfft -Trips) , was watching as she left the campsite. He knew that it would come down to one thing. And he wouldn't be able to watch it happen. Why, you might ask? Simple!

Because destiny must run its course.
