Ch.21

You may be wondering, Why are the potatoes going to Lord Surya? Excellent question! Your gonna find out XP

~A few moments before Aiden fell flat on his face and found Karen~

The Potato people decided to leave the forest, and we're now at the mercy of the author (THESE FOURTH WALL BREAKS WILL NEVER STOP -Trips).

(YOU GOTTA STOP DOING THIS TRIPS! * Grabs entire supply of duct tape, and gorilla glue* There! All better~ :)- PLB)

( YOU DO NOT KNOW THY PLEASURES OF DUCT TAPE?!?!?!? Okay...... Moving on!)

ANYWAY! The Potatoes were walking serenely through the forest, wondering what to do. They had no idea how to get to Dwarka, and didn't have another lead to lead them to any ideas. That is, until Rudy started singing an old lullaby.

Rudy never sang, at all. End of story. However, when he did sing (on accident and very, extremely rarely), his voice sounded like a dying bird (or so he thought). It was actually quite heavenly when he sang, in fact, it rivaled Aiden's apsara powers.

Everyone else listened intently to what Rudy was singing, and Aiden was even bobbing his head to music. They were just listening and walking, not speaking a word about Rudy's voice. Rudy, who didn't even realize that he was singing, just let it flow.

Mini closed her eyes and analyzed the meaning of each and every word that came out of Rudy's mouth. She gasped when she heard the answer to their problem. The lullaby went a little something like this,

"My darling child, sleep, safe and sound

For I am here to tell you.

For I am here to protect you.

I'll tell you stories about,

The empires' rise and fall

I'll tell you stories about,

The Sun and Moon who see all.

You will rise one day,

And everyone will see

That was where the lullaby ended, and Mini gripped Rudy's shoulder's before screaming, "EUREKA! THAT'S IT!"

Brynne smirked, "Was that a Horrid Henry reference?"

Mini grinned and nodded sheepishly before remembering why she even made the reference in the first place, "You guys. Rudy's song just gave me an idea."

Rudy looked incredulously at Mini, "I was singing?"

Everyone nodded, and Rudy proceeded to pull the hood of the hoodie he was wearing, (Oh he was wearing a hoodie. Did I forget to mention that? Oopsies... - Trips) over his head, and pulled the strings so that his face was wrapped up in the hoodie. He looked like a silkworm that was trying to become a cocoon.

Mini just shook her head and continued, "He said in the song that the Sun and Moon see all. We've already met Chandra, and let's just say, we've all had enough of him," she looked at the others, who nodded fervently (especially Nikita, who was kidnapped by the dude), "So, why don't we go see Surya? He's the god of the sun, and surly, he wouldn't be as bad as Chandra. Hopefully. At least, that's my guess."

Aiden looked up, and nodded, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. He looked back at Mini and gave her a curt nod, indicating that it was a good plan. They would have to follow through with it anyway since they had no other choice. With that, they went back to their walking, until Aiden tripped and fell on his face. Everyone knows the story from there.
