Nicki's P.O.V

Lacinda wanted me to come over to check on her and she said her and her friends are having a housewarming party. Drake went to the store with Jake, so I'm just going over there to check on her and hope that she's okay.

Nicki- ( Entering Lacinda's new house ) Lay, are you here?

Lacinda- Yea. I'm just sitting here all alone.

Nicki- Oh, sweety. I feel the same way. You and your dad are always gone and I just feel sad and I only have my unborn children with me.

Lacinda- Mommy, I just wanted to get your attention when I went to Hawaii with Jake. You didn't call or text or anything. Work was all your priority and you didn't even care at the time.

Nicki- ( Sitting down on the couch ) You wanna know why I never was home?

Lacinda- ( Laying her head on Nicki's shoulder ) Why?

Nicki- I was always raised like that when my parents didn't care what I did and they would just forget me. When I met your father, I started drinking and slept with him all the time. When I found out that I was pregnant, he was gone back to Toronto and I told him 5 years later that I had you and he was furious at me and didn't want nothing to do with us. So, I had to take my mind off this and threw myself into work, and now I'm afraid the same thing will happen to you. ( Starts to cry )

Lacinda- Ma, I was afraid too and now I have to drop everything and care for 3 kids. I don't want them to through the same thing.

Nicki- Then, teach them better and try to catch up in their lives. We can't change us, but we can guide them.

Lacinda- Thank you, Ma. I love you. ( Hugs Nicki )

Nicki- I love you, too. Now, what are Jake and your father doing?

Drake 's P.O.V

Well, me and Jake are at the store buying all the stuff Lacinda wanted us to buy. Since the cake is going to take 40 minutes to make, me and Jake are at the store buying the rest of the stuff. Women these days be crazy!

Jake- ( On the phone with Lacinda ) Hey, baby....Look, me and your dad are going to have to wait 15 more minutes for the cake....Why are you screaming at me?.....I know that you're emotional.....It's ok, I can understand why......So, we just have to wait a little bit more...Ok, I'll see you later.... ( Hangs up phone )

Drake- So, when did yall really connect?

Jake- It was 2 weeks after our affair and she wanted me to take away her virginity. I didn't mean for it to be that bad.

Drake- You know, there was a time in her life that I wasn't there and her mother forgot to tell me about her. I was out raged and I never forgave her until now. I don't want you to abandon Lacinda or I will hurt you.

Jake- I never want to hurt her. She is the love of my life and that would break me if she would hurt me.

Drake- I hope she doesn't.

Store Lady- Number 40!!!

Jake- That's us.

Lacinda's P.O.V

My mom went home to nap because she said that she had a killer headache. I promised her some food when she came back. My dad and Jake finally came back. Thank God!!

Drake- Ok, Lay Lay, I have to get home to check on her. And thanks for the food! ( Leaves )

Lacinda- You are welcome, Daddy!

Jake- JeNae just called and they are outside. Should I open the door?

Lacinda- No, honey. Let me. ( Opening the door )

JeNae- My Landy Pooky!

Lacinda- My Baby Nae! ( Hugs her )

JeNae- How are you?

Lacinda- Being pregnant is hard!

JeNae- I brought you someone. ( Picks up her 4 years old daughter, Iris. )

Iris- Hi, my aunty, Lacinda. ( Kisses Lacinda's cheek )

Lacinda- Hi, my baby. You wanna go eat?

Iris- Yes, please.

Lacinda- Well, come on. ( Grabs Iris's hand and walks to the table with her )
