Part Twenty-Eight-A familiar face

The next morning of school-

I woke up earlier than usual and actually felt a lot better than the last few days. It has been a complete rollercoaster. I can't believe I got broken up with, got back together, kept the relationship a secret, all in the span of a week.

I did my hair and makeup and put on a cute outfit. I made myself some breakfast and then got happy to drive me to school.

I got out of the car and I waited a little while until Peter and Ned came.

I got through the day but when we were in biology. Which is my second to last class something strange happened.

Narrator-
Peter, Ned, MJ, and Y/n sat together in a small group doing a worksheet.
Then the teacher called out y/n

"Y/n! You're being checked out for the day"

Y/n looked up from her desk confused and the whole class got quiet

"My parents didn't say anything about picking me up.."

The teacher shrugged
"Let me look again"
She looked down at the note she was given and said
"It says that your uncle Steve is here for you"

Y/n-
I looked at peter confused
But then remembered.. why would he pick me up and what is he doing in my school... if it's even the Steve I'm thinking about

"What's his last name?"
I asked her
She looked back at her note
"It says here his name is 'Steve R' he didn't give his full last name. I can go down with you if you-"

I bit my bottom lip holding my excitement but also still confused

"Can peter come with me instead? I think I know who it is but I just want to be safe"

I stood up and grabbed my bad
"Oh sure"
The teacher said and I looked at peter.

I grabbed my bag and took peter with me.

"You don't have an uncle"
Peter said quietly once we walked out.

"Steve Rogers. I don't know why he would pick me up we're about to see"
I said back quietly

"Then why'd you want me to come"
He asked as we started to walk to the office.

"To meet him. Since you guys fought before so might as well meet him now when you're not fighting"

We got to the office and I saw a guy looking down at his hands with sunglasses and a hat on.

I walked into the office and peter staying behind me.

"Hi"
I said and he looked up.

And as I thought. It is the Steve I know.

"Hey!"
He said with a big smile.

I gave him a big hug then we walked outside

"What are you doing here?"
I asked, excitedly.

"Romanoff told me about your parents getting married and I had to get here. I wanted to talk to you first not actually take you out of class.. but I'm not very good with new stuff"

I laughed and then looked over at peter
"Oh- I wanted you guys to see each other again"

"Hi, I'm Peter- Parker. Peter Parker. The kid who stole your shield- th-that one time.."

Peter was nervous and it made me laugh.
"Oh hey queens nice to see you"

We stood there in silence for a few seconds then Peter sighed

"I- uh- I'm gonna go back, to-to class.."

He grabbed the door, went inside and I watched him as he went back.

"I didn't know you two went to school together"

I nodded "Mhm. And we're dating"

"You're dating?"
He laughed
"You have a better love life than me"

We both started laughing then went to his car.

"Did you know we have a captain America fitness program"
I said putting my seatbelt on
"Oh yeah, I remember making those. I hated it"

"Wanna get lunch?"
Steve asked and I nodded.

We went to a small fast-food restaurant. We ordered then went to go sit down

"You know you'd always say you'd have a movie night with me but you never have"
I said and he leaned against the table.

"I've been busy"
He said and I rolled my eyes.

"I've been trying to get the others to come to your parent's wedding"
"The whole crew"
I said jokingly back to him.

"Yes the whole crew "
"Any luck?"
I asked
He shook his head
"It's hard to contact the superheroes"
He said quietly and I laughed

One of the workers came over and gave us our food. We ate and made small conversation.

By the time we finished, it was about time that school would've ended.

Steve drove me back to the street of my house.
"Keep it a secret that I'm here, ok?"
He said as I was about to get out.
"Secrets safe with me"
I said and got out of the car.

I'm glad that even though he and my dad have had a rough friendship that Steve and I will always be the same around each other.
