Night time

After taking baths to remove that icky vicky smell off of them, Y/n, Aqua and Kazuma were eating together at the guild's tables.

*Slam*

Aqua banged her fists on the table.

Y/n: Hey, it's bad enough I'm the only one with good income, now you expect me to pay for when you wanna get prissy?

Aqua: S-Sorry, it's just, I'm mad that the three of us couldn't take them on.

Aqua: We should recruit some more allies!

She said with a determined look on her face.

Kazuma on the other hand, was busy tallying the total costs of their luxurious meal.

Kazuma: 5,000 eris per frog...

(A/n): I forgot the currency was called eris in the show so just imagine the pouch of silver coins was replaced by it.

Kazuma: We risked our lives and got no more than what we already earn from our part time jobs.

Y/n: You mean we risked my life, I don't remember you being helpful Kazuma.

Y/n: Aqua too, in fact, she did the complete opposite of help.

Kazuma: Sorry about that.

He didn't sound the least bit apologetic.

Aqua: *Nom* Hey, this is actually pretty yummy, the outside's kinda hard but the texture is quite nice.

She bit into her frog legs and wore a face of satisfaction after a single taste.

Kazuma: You say you want allies, but we're novice adventurers, Y/n isn't, and we have no equipment to speak of.

That little comment didn't slide past Y/n's ears. Y/n will remember that.

Kazuma: Do you really believe that someone would want to party up with us?

Aqua: *Not eating properly* Hey, You've got me so why n--!

She garbled some unclear words before downing her drink.

Aqua: Aaaah~ I'm an Archpriest, the most advanced job out there! Anyone would die to have me in their party!

She began to rant about how being a goddess automatically makes her better than anyone else, and how everyone would be begging on their knees to have her be in their party etc.

Y/n gave her a look of doubt, though, Aqua didn't notice it.

Aqua: So now that we've got that straight, why don't you hand me another piece of that?

She gestured to Y/n's plate, his fill of fried frog legs.

Y/n: Here. I don't feel like eating anyway.

As soon as his share was dropped onto her plate, Aqua ravaged it like an animal.

Kazuma: Oh? Why aren't you eating your fill Y/n?

Y/n smirked, he always wanted to say this.

Y/n: I've got a lot on my plate.

Kazuma quickly leant over the table to smack Y/n on the head.

A day later

Waiting while sat on a bench, Kazuma and Aqua were wondering why no one had noticed the recruiting invitation to their party on the guild's notice board.
