So, a long time ago, I watched Haikyuu. A couple of weeks to a month ago, I watched Banana Fish. This was a thought that had been in my head for a while after I watched Banana Fish, cause honestly Kageyama and Hinata do kind of remind me of Ash and Eiji. As you can probably tell, this oneshot is slightly based off a scene in episode 11 of Banana Fish, although I tried my best to make it my own. Anyway, this took longer than it probably needed to, and is honestly still a bit whatever in my eyes, but I hope you guys like it regardless! Please tell me what you think!!

"Alright, so who's going to wake him?"
An uncomfortable silence followed Kindaichi's statement, the group of boys glancing to the side where Kageyama was curled up into a lump of blankets on the bed, then all looking back at each other in unease. Hinata blinked from his perch on the recliner, not understanding what Kageyama's gang was so afraid of.
"Why do you guys look like you've seen a ghost?" He questioned. "It's just Kageyama, what's there to be so afraid of?"
Kindaichi scoffed quietly, leaning his head back on the chair as he stared at the ceiling. "Um, well, Kageyama doesn't really like being woken up, especially at such early hours. He has a nasty temper."
Hinata tilted his head, confused. "But it's just Kageyama." He repeated. "He's not scary at all."
Asahi groaned softly as he hid his face in his hands. After a few moments, he moved his forefingers and peeked out at Hinata. "But he is, Hinata! He's like a panther! All snapping, snarling, and sharp claws! He'll eat you alive!"
Nishinoya gently rubbed Asahi's shoulder with one hand, leaning up to whisper soothing words in his boyfriend's ear before turning to Hinata as well. "I'll admit," he said. "Kageyama is a bit... ill-tempered. I tried to wake him up one time and he punched me in the face. Couldn't see outta my eye for a week!"
Now it was Hinata's turn to scoff, staring at the assembled boys with a blank look. "Oh, please." He rebutted. "You guys are just being dramatic, Kageyama has no reason to be grumpy. He's the one who said wake him up in three hours, so I'm damn well going to."
With those final words, Hinata stood up from the recliner, ignoring the surprised squawks of Kageyama's gang as he made his way over to the bed Kageyama was sleeping on. He reached out, gently shaking the Kageyama-shaped lump. "Kageyama..." he crooned softly. "Come on, it's time to wake up. You said you wanted to be woken up in three hours, no excuses. Remember?"
Kageyama didn't answer him, however, just continued to lay there, not stirring in the slightest under Hinata's gentle coaxing.
Hinata frowned, annoyed that he was being ignored. He reached out again, this time smacking what he believed to be Kageyama's head with a swift but strong blow. "Oi!" He exclaimed loudly. "Kageyama! Get off your lazy ass before I drag you out of this bed! Don't think I won't!"
"Oh my god."
"Run! Go, go, go! Hide!"
"You're on your own, Shouyo!"
Behind him, Kageyama's gang leaped from their seats like they had been burned, yelping and scurrying through the kitchen and into the hallway like mice. Hinata rolled his eyes, still not understanding what they thought was so frightening about their leader.
Bunch of cowards. Scared of a fifteen year old.
After a few moments of waiting, the lump of blankets shifted downward, until he could see Kageyama's eyes, the dark blue irises narrowed in annoyance. Hinata smiled at Kageyama, not at all fazed by the burning glare the younger boy was throwing him.
He could hear Kageyama's gang murmuring amongst themselves from behind the wall, even seeing a couple of heads peeking curiously from the hiding place out of the corner of his eye. He ignored them in favor of clasping his hands behind his back, bouncing on the balls of his feet as if he was a small child again.
"Good morning, Kageyama." He greeted. "It's nine thirty, time to get up, remember?"
Kageyama continued to just lay there a bit longer, still glaring up at Hinata with eyes seemingly made of blue fire, no doubt having the ability to turn him to ash if looks could kill.
Finally, he sat up, his black hair sticking up comically every which a way. He pouted, the fire in his eyes dulling until it was almost nonexistent. Tiredly, he ran a hand over his face. "Did I say that?" He mumbled. "What the fuck was I thinking?"
Hinata chuckled. "I dunno, Kageyama, I'm just doing what you told me to do." He braced one hand on the edge of the bed, leaning down until he was nearly face to face with the younger boy, and pressed a soft kiss to Kageyama's forehead. He smiled again as he returned to his previous upright position, his face beaming. "Now how about you go take a shower and I'll go get some breakfast started, hm?"
Kageyama blushed at the display of affection, but remained silent, opting to respond with a nod. He untangled himself from the blanket with ease, rising from the bed and stretching, releasing a quiet hiss when something popped. He then proceeded to trudge his way towards the bathroom, bellowing out a yawn that made Asahi yelp like a wounded animal before he was scrambling to hurry back into the living room, the rest of the gang hot on his heels.
A sudden pounding on the wall made them all startle in surprise, Asahi nearly falling over in his haste to leap behind the couch and Kindaichi appearing to be seconds away from having a stroke. Hinata shoved his fist into his mouth to suppress a laugh.
"Oi, quit bein' so damn loud! You lot are giving me a migraine!"
