Well now, let's see how many more of these I can pop out that have only Iwaizumi and Oikawa or some other Aoba Johsai member(s) 😅
(Not that I mind tho, I love Aoba Johsai, it has Kindaichi and Matsukawa on it)
But anyway, this is meant to be part 1 of a trio (maybe four, I'm not sure just yet..) of connected oneshots that take place in a fantasy universe.
So without further ado, I hope you guys like it! Please tell me what you think, I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

"Any moment now, Iwa-chan..." The Demon King crooned as he watched the storm clouds swirl dangerously in the distance from the window.
The growl that left Iwaizumi's mouth was guttural. He strained against the heavy chains holding his arms, ignoring the sting of pain as the metal scraped against the raw skin of his wrists. He glared at the back of the Demon King's head with such fire and hatred that he was sure if looks could kill, the King would be dead right now.
"Oikawa-"
"Quiet!" The Demon King snarled, turning swiftly and directing his own glare at Iwaizumi, making the other close his mouth in shock. The King's red eyes flashed in the darkness of the room, and he took a breath to compose himself before baring his teeth in a ferocious grin. "That's not who I am anymore, Iwa-chan. That part of me disappeared a long time ago."
Iwaizumi growled again through gritted teeth. "Bullshit." He muttered.
The King smiled again and sauntered towards Iwaizumi, one hand outstretched. Iwaizumi snarled in warning, yanking heavily on the chains. Undeterred by the knight's ferocity, the King crouched down and gently cupped the side of Iwaizumi's face, inspecting the large gash on his cheek.
Iwaizumi tensed at the King's touch, but allowed him to do so, if only to see what exactly the demon was planning.
The King let out a huff. "Look at you, Iwa-chan. Still charging stupidly into danger and getting yourself hurt in the process."
Iwaizumi scoffed. "It was one of your stupid henchmen that gave me that, you idiot. I wasn't about to let the little imp attack my comrades."
The King chuckled at Iwaizumi's annoyed tone. "Ah, I see. Taking the fall for poor, little Tobio in his moment of weakness. Quite brave of you, knight."
Iwaizumi's face morphed into a scowl. "Leave Kageyama out of this." He snapped. "He's just a kid, he was scared."
The King laughed fully this time.
"Oh no, Iwa-chan. Kageyama Tobio is a lot of things. A monster, yes. A child, maybe so, but scared? That little brat isn't scared of anything. He's a monster and that is all he ever will be."
Iwaizumi lunged at the hand still holding his cheek, barely managing to graze his teeth against one of the fingers before the King jumped back and out of reach. To Iwaizumi's satisfaction, the King's eyes were wide and his mouth was gaping slightly. He was obviously surprised by Iwaizumi's actions.
Iwaizumi huffed out a labored breath, glaring up at the at King from his hunched over position. "Don't you dare call that kid a monster. He's more of a human than you ever were. You're the one who's the monster, attacking us like this and kidnapping me. You--"
He was suddenly cut off by the King's fist slamming into his cheek, making him let out a grunt of pain as he curled in on himself, cursing under his breath. A hand then fisted into his hair and yanked upwards, forcing his head back up.
The King's eyes were furious. They glowed a deep deep red, the color of blood. Thunder boomed across the sky, a warning. He pulled Iwaizumi's face closer. "You dare lecture me on how I treated that little heathen, when I could kill you with a single finger if I so pleased?" He hissed. "Is that what you want, Iwaizumi? For your friends to come here with the intention of saving you, only to be heartbroken when they find out that it was all in vain?"
Iwaizumi swallowed heavily. The King's face was strangely innocent and soft for someone so heartless and cruel. He snickered weakly, allowing a smile to grace his features.
The King's eyes sharpened. "Are you mocking me, Iwa-chan? What are you laughing about?"
"We both know you won't kill me, Oikawa." Iwaizumi said, still grinning despite the pain in his cheek."If you really wanted to kill me, you would have done so by now. You like getting straight to the point, remember? Face it, Shittykawa. I know you too well."
The Demon King stared at Iwaizumi for a moment, before letting him go and standing up to walk towards the window again.
"We will see, Iwa-chan." He finally said after a few heartbeats of silence, his voice deadly quiet. "We will see."
