It all started when the group decided to go swimming during their days off during Covid-19. They rented out a pool and a changing room to themselves, for once not feeling bad for spending money on way more than they need. They wanted their privacy this time. Jungkook had no idea what sort of day he was in for when he innocently held onto his eldest hyung and talked a million miles an hour about how much he loved swimming.

When they arrived they got into the changing rooms quickly. Jungkook nabbed the corner space, feeling comfortable being naked around the others but he was still wanting privacy. This forced Yoongi into the middle bench and Jungkook felt bad for a moment, but Yoongi shrugged it off. Jungkook changed into his swimming trunks and a black vest, then wrapped a towel around him and left with Jimin. He held onto Jimin's shoulders and bounced as they walked out to the pool. Jimin quickly went over to the pile of deflated floaties and picked up a rubber duck one, starting to fill it with air from the pump.

Unlike Jimin, the maknae just dove straight into the pool and started to do laps, his body moving swiftly as he kicked his legs. He took a breath every time he got to one end of the pool and then dunked himself under again. Then as he was halfway through a lap the water around him darkened. He stopped swimming and looked upwards, seeing that Jimin had pushed his floaty directly over where he was. Jungkook pushed himself upwards and toppled the duck over, Jimin falling off with it.

"Jimin-ssi!"

"I'm gonna kill you, Jungkook!"

Then Taehyung joined the two of them, and they decided to do a race from one end of the pool to the other. Yoongi was unwillingly made the judge since his deck chair was facing the pool edge at the perfect angle. Hoseok started the race and then sat back down beside Seokjin with his drink. Jungkook submerged himself in the water, finding it easier to swim faster whilst completely under. It was more hard work, yes, but his form was better, so it paid off. He ended up touching the opposite pool wall with over a second's difference between second place, Jimin. Taehyung splashed a little and complained, fill pout and natural aegyo evident,
"That's not fair! Jungkookie had time to practice before I went in the pool!" So to make it fair Hoseok called for a first to three kind of tournament.

Jungkook accepted this challenge and let his competitive side take over. He swam with as much strength as he could muster and, once and twice again, won the next two races. Taehyung pouted but accepted defeat, right up until Jungkook was about to get out of the pool where he dragged him back and dunked him into the pool with the help of Jimin's core strength. Jungkook made a small noise of surprise right before he was submerged again, and his body reacted before his brain could stop it, as he took in a great breath of water.

He squeezed his eyes shut and pulled himself upwards by the ladder, coughing and spitting out little dribbles of chlorinated water. A cloudy sort of aura lingered in the edges of his vision as he gagged a little. Luckily he didn't throw up, but it made Jimin and Tae extremely concerned and apologetic either way. However, the strange blurry vision that he had quickly passed off as nausea didn't go away.
"I'm just gonna get changed and relax for a bit," he panted, pulling himself with weakened arms and stumbling a little on the wet floor. Jimin looked at him with a saddened expression, but let him be as he slid back into the pool with Taehyung.

Jungkook wasn't feeling well at all. What had started as a strange vision had turned into dizziness and a strange throbbing headache. He sat in his corner on the bench and took off his vest and towelled himself dry, taking off his wet shorts and quickly drying… down there. He puffed out little short breaths of air as he squeezed his eyes shut, his head going through a long pulse of pain. Quickly he changed into his white cargo shorts and a t-shirt, and slung the towel over the clothes hook on the wall.
