"Yoongi-hyung?" Namjoon was very confused as he was on the phone with Yoongi. He'd called after seeing a new friend request pop up on his social media. The name was Yoongi's, but the account had no pictures, so he had called to confirm that it was Yoongi who sent the request.
"Yeah, it's me." Yoongi had a social media account now, but he was uncomfortable with uploading pictures of himself, so his account was pretty barren.
Taking another look at the account while sitting at his laptop, Namjoon chuckled."You made this account a month ago and didn't send me a friend request until just now? I'm hurt."
Yoongi chuckled as well."I was nervous about adding you. My parents want to know everything about the people I add, you know. What am I supposed to tell them about you? You're not just a friend, and you know they'll be concerned."
"That's understandable. They want to make sure you're safe." Namjoon loved talking to Yoongi over the phone, but hearing his voice really made Namjoon miss him more and more.
It had been a couple months since Yoongi was well enough to move back to Daegu, accepting a little financial support to do so from Namjoon and Seokjin."They're good parents." Yoongi was glad to be back with his parents, feeling safe with them."You should come here to visit sometime. They'll have questions, and..." He paused for a couple seconds, shy about his next words."I miss you, Namjoon."
"Say no more. I'll start making plans right away." Namjoon had been saving up a little each paycheck to be able to visit Yoongi in Daegu. It was supposed to be a surprise, but he figured it was okay to not surprise him."Should I bring Seokjin-hyung with me?"
"Please." Yoongi missed his friends and wanted his parents to meet them."Oh, did you see who added me?" he asked.
Taking a look at Yoongi's friend list, Namjoon cocked his head a little to the side."You and Jungkook are friends now?"
"Not so much but maybe someday." Yoongi was happy that Jungkook had accepted his friend request."We haven't really spoken. He sent me a message that just said 'I'm sorry,' and I said 'I forgive you,' and that's all the talking we've done, but it's okay."
"I see you have a couple other friends too. Are they people you met there in Daegu?" Namjoon wondered with much curiosity. Maybe he was also a little jealous that Yoongi had a couple guys on his friend list that he had never met himself.
Yoongi made a soft hum before speaking."Yeah, I actually met them at physical therapy. They're pretty nice. Apparently, one of them recently recovered from a broken ankle and didn't want to do therapy with a bunch of strangers, so he got a friend to join him. That's sweet."
"Have you been talking to anyone else from Seoul?" That was definitely something Namjoon wanted to know. He didn't see anyone else he knew on Yoongi's friend list. Seokjin wasn't even there yet. The only person he knew on Yoongi's friend list was Jungkook.
"I sent a friend request to Taehyung, but he blocked me."
"Don't take it personally. Taehyung shut everyone out." Namjoon was admittedly sad about that, but it was Taehyung's choice."He transferred jobs soon after everything was settled and blocked everyone. I think Jimin actually deleted his social medias. Good riddance."
"Do you still see him at work?"
"Nah. He changed his work hours. Now he works odd times that overlap first shift and second shift." Namjoon and Seokjin were glad to never see Jimin anymore."Jungkook is still on third shift though. He won't talk to me, but he's recently started talking to Seokjin-hyung again."
"I'm glad he's doing okay." Yoongi wanted Jungkook to do well and recover from the mental manipulation he had gone through. Since he had known that Hoseok was manipulating Jungkook to harass him, Yoongi hadn't pressed charges against him. He simply let it go.
"I think he's in therapy." Namjoon hadn't fully realized how badly Hoseok had messed with Jungkook's head until it had been mentioned in passing before that he was seeking professional help.
That was also a relief to hear."Good. Therapy can help a lot. I'm seeing a therapist every week as well, you know, aside from the physical therapy." There was a little bit of muffled talking in the background."Okay, Mom." Yoongi answered before returning his attention to Namjoon."I have to go. I'm going out for lunch with my parents."
"Have a good time, Hyung." It brought Namjoon so much joy to know that Yoongi was gradually getting better, physically and mentally. From what Yoongi had told him during a call roughly a week ago, he still had crying spells occasionally, but he was becoming more stable. Whenever he had a crying spell, he would either go to his parents for comfort or call Namjoon."I'll be seeing you soon."
"I'll be waiting."
As soon as the call was ended, Namjoon immediately made a fresh call to Seokjin."How do you feel about making arrangements to visit a dear friend in Daegu?"
"You can't start a call like a normal person, can you?" Seokjin asked with audible content."I can start making plans right away. When are you thinking we should go?"
"The sooner, the better." Namjoon was ready to see Yoongi again. He wanted to see him, hold him, never let him go again. He was even ready to tell Yoongi's parents how he felt about the smaller guy, despite being honestly nervous about doing so. Just thinking about seeing Yoongi again made Namjoon's heart pound. He could hardly wait.
Everything was starting anew.
