Chapter 41

Yusuf's POV

I was back at work after almost a week break. My shift has changed from night to day and I suddenly miss my night shift.

My mother begged Zainab to extend her stay by a week and she agreed. It's funny how she can't say no to my mother but can easily say no me because I asked for to extend her stay first before my mother but she told me a big fat no.

I was having lunch with some of my colleagues. They were talking about a patient who died of an heart attack just today apparently he caught his wife cheating on him with a man who's more good looking than him. How did we know this? Well, his cheating wife confessed that it was her fault when she heard that he was dead. I guess the guilt burnt her deeply that she had to shout that it's her fault and almost everyone in the hospital heard her.

"Can you imagine I heard she has gone mad because she can't stop it's my fault." One of the nurses on the table said.

"Such a disgrace. I can never forgive a cheating woman God forbid." A male nurse added.

"But did you see the husband sef he's so obesed and had a big round stomach." Someone among them said and they all laugh.

I didn't say a word or even react. I just listen I don't talk much around most of them because they are bunch of gossip. Mocking a dead man Isn't cool.

"Abi she needed someone fit to satis....." I stopped listening. I got up and left the cafeteria going back to my office.

I quickly prepared to check on one of my patients to see if he's responding to treatment. My phone beeped I checked it, turns out I have some WhatsApp messages I realized my mobile data is on so turn it off and went ahead to check on my patience. I don't like distraction while working.

After the days work I finally had time for my phone as I walked to my car. The messages keep pouring in but the one that caught my attention was the messages from an unknown number. I decided to view the content of the message

As i open it my eyes almost bulge out because of the content of the message.

A picture of Zainab with Usman they looked cozy and seem to be having a good time. Usman was hugging Zainab the second picture he gave her a peck on the cheek although I didn't see her face to know her reaction. Its clear that I am engaged to a whore. When did I introduced her to Usman that she's already giving herself to him. I kissed her and she made it look like a big deal but she's hugging and kissing another guy.

She just did the worst thing anyone could do to Me. It's like she put her hand inside my chest and grabbed my heart and is slowly crushing it. First time in my life I'm into a woman and she betray me like this.

"Doctor Yusuf are you okay." I don't know who asked the question and I didn't care to look back to see who it was. I walked to my car feeling an upsurge anger and pain at the same time.

Zainab's POV

When two people are in love its.... Annoying because they become stupid. I know this because my best friend and my brother are in love and I can tell you they have become so stupid over the years.

Do I ever want to fall in love, feel stupid things and become sappy? No! But every time I'm close to my fiancee i have stupid feelngs too. How did this happen?

I was at Ahmad's house since he came back from Kano, Fatima and I decided to pay him a visit.

"Sadiq and Kaybee gave me something to give you." Ahmad informed me.

"What is it." I asked excited.

He threw a poly bag at me. I opened the bag and searched it frantically. Those sweet brothers of mine sent fried meat and Chin Chin for me. There was also box of chocolate.
