It's been three years, ever since Preeta left Mumbai and both the Aroras and Luthras live in regrets. For Aroras especially Sarla, she always blames herself for Preeta's disappearance and sometimes she cries silently because she misses her daughter so much. She is also is scared, she may never see her again. Even though her relationship with Shrishti improved, it's still not the same. As a mother, she feels she failed the other daughter and it won't be the same again. However, she prays and hopes that one day Preeta returns back home and together with her family, they will take care of her grandchild who excites her so much even though, she has never met him/her.

At the Luthras it was even much worse, whatever is happening is karma, who would've thought that the mighty Luthras would go bankrupt. Yes they are soon filing for bankruptcy because the bank wants their properties and its so saddening and shameful because it was their doing. Before Sheilyn left, she had managed to make Rishabh sign on the property papers and poor guy had no time to read through because she had tricked him. Generally he had no idea what he had signed on at the time but found out much later when they got a notice from the bank. And at first, he and the whole family thought it was joke but the paper's were authentic. Moreover, they couldn't find Sheilyn anyway because everything was carried out by her lawyer. And because of this grandma Bani had a heart attack which made her be hospitalized and in coma. This problem has also affected Karan's games that his poor form made the couch drop him. Yet no one is willing to help them with the money they need to save their companies.

Mr. Mahesh Luthra feels so guilty, for some reason he blames himself for his family's misfortunes. As the head of the family he could've seen and known that Sheilyn wasn't the right person for his son. As a good father he could've taken his son's side when he didn't want to marry that woman. He could've made his family realize that Rishabh wasn't happy with marrying Sheilyn but what did he do?. He let it happen and his sister was the perpetrator of all this. Had his family listened and trusted Preeta none of this would've happened. Thinking about Preeta brings both good and bad memories to him. He would''ve been the proudest father-in-law because Preeta was someone he saw as the daughter he never had. It hurts because he may never see her or his grandchild again. To him, whatever is happening is God's punishment to his family for having treated the Aroras harshly.
And now Sheilyn used their company and borrowed a huge sum of money from the bank to do God knows what. Already the company wasn't doing great and with th st huge debt, he doesn't know what he's gonna do. This is their family company, he inherited it from his father who inherited it from his grandfather but it's gonna collapse and not because of them but someone they invited and made apart of their family. Filing for bankruptcy is the only way forward because no one is willing to help.

For Preeta, everything was perfect. Till today she asks herself if she deserves this kind of life. Living Mumbai and locating to the United States was for survival and looking for a peaceful haven where she and child would be live happily but also for her studies. She always intended to go back as soon as her studies were done but here she is working at John Hopkins Medical Centre; one of the best Hospitals in the United States. She's not only a fully deserved doctor but also a billionaire. During the reading of the late Mrs. Annabel's will, Preeta had no idea just how rich the lady was. She had various businesses from real estates, a big chain of hotels, bars and restuants to shopping malls in over 12 States. She had houses in other States too and PREETA ARORA inherited all of them. For a girl who was shamed and criticized for being a middle-class girl, is now a billionaire, a doctor and even a business woman even though she's never practiced business but having all these businesses forced her hand. But thank God for Sophia and another close friend she met through Sophia called Dianne. They are the ones taking care of the businesses as she concentrates more on medical work because that's what she loves.

But even though her life is perfect, there is something still missing which is love. Sophia tried to set her up for dates but it just couldn't work. For start one of the guys she tried to date was jealous of her son. She remembers Sophia teasing her about it and how her son looks exactly like his dad but she denied saying her son looks like her and that he's has alone. Also according to that guy Preeta loved her son more than him and was too demanding hence Preeta just couldn't be with a person like that. Another one named Mitchell, he was sweet, handsome and very caring but the problem was with Preeta, everytime they tried to spend sometime together; she would come up with stupid excuses, even when he tried to kiss her, it's was like Preeta wasn't into him because Karan Luthra spoilt love for her. He's the guys she thinks about and the worst part is that she sees Karan in her little boy; the eyes, the smile, those little dimples. It's like she sees him everyday and maybe that's why she can't move on. Karan Luthra is the guy she hates to love but loves. And that makes her even hate him more.

Here she is a single mum who decided to give her son all the love she possibly can, even though something is lucking in her life she's not gonna be sad about it. She's still young in her late 20's, so there's still time. And if Kris Jenner a 60 something woman is dating a 39 year old man, then she shouldn't worry about anything; for all she knows, maybe her prince charming is still somewhere or someone. She got a call that brought her out of her thoughts and it was Sophia who was telling her, how everything is ready for her return to India, and her heart skipped a beat then started beating so fast she couldn't believe it, that she was finally going back home after all this time. "Are you sure? " she questioned and Sophia answered yes. Preeta made her the C.E.O of Annabel's Holding Limited with Dianne helping. And together over the past two years they've been taking care of everything business related ,all she does is sign where necessary. And One year and half ago , she asked Sophia to find a coordinator in India to help them expand their businesses and invest where they can .

They've managed to open up some big bars and restuarants around the country, and a very big hotel is being built which will be completed in two months.. And since everything is perfect, she feels it's time she went back home and met her family whom she has missed so much. She wonders how they've been doing all this time. She now wants to take care of them, share with them her experiences and also help them. She hopes that her mother has forgiven her and wants to start over with them with her son and live happily. She is rich and they won't lack anything. Already one of the biggest hospitals in India is ready to give her a job, so a job is not a problem as well her other businesses are doing well, both here and in India. However no one knows her real status and she wants to keep it that way. However Sophia who was in India for some months taking care of the new businesses did learn a lot about her family and Luthras and she doesn't know if she should tell Preeta about Luthras because that family hurt her friend so much.
