Two days later

The Luthras were having breakfast and the mood felt so strange for Karan, he hasn't been sleeping well for the past few days, ever since he chased Preeta out of his and family's lives. Life hasn't been so kind to him, he thinks about her constantly especially that day when she gave herself to him. They were not drunk but it's something that happened naturally.  Its a memory he's keeping so dearly because no matter what has happened,  it was special. He's not even sure if he's doing the right thing  accepting this marriage when he's already a married man.

Sammy startled him out of his thoughts and asked if he's okay. Sammy, Rishabh, Kritika, Rhaki even Sheilyn could see through him and knew he was lying when he answered that "he's fine". He stood up and walked back to his bedroom but Sammy didn't let it go, so he followed him up. He again asked him if he was fine but he deflected his question and instead asked Sammy if he knew about any nice restaurants around. Sammy looked at him and felt sorry for him, he wanted to ask him about Preeta but knowing his brother he asked him why? You see Aunt Karina insisted that  I take Mahira out to night and get to know her better. She's my wife to be right?. But do you want this? Mahira, the marriage, is this what you want? Sammy asked him. It's not too late for you and Pree...before he could even finish, Karan told him to never mention Preeta's name or even talk about her. She's out of our lives and am getting married to a better woman, you should know that Preeta is responsible for what happened to our daddy,  I hate her so much, and  I hope to never see her again. So please don't ever mention her to me. He's said it with so much anger and hatred. Sheilyn who had followed and was watching  them felt so happy and relieved that Preeta won't ever cause her problems so she can go ahead with her plans.
"Don't worry, I will never mention her name", Sammy replied to  him, but he thought that he needed to speak to Shrishti. Sammy still believes that Preeta is innocent and maybe they are just missing something. He along with Rishabh and Kritika still think something isn't right and think Sheilyn and Mahira are responsible but lack the evidence to prove Preeta's innocence.

At Arora's house, there was so much tension in the house  especially between Sarla and Preeta. She was acting rude and was angry at Preeta. She felt ashamed and disappointed towards Preeta. These past two days have been the worst that Preeta has lived, she felt so uncomfortable and couldn't believe this is how her life now, her reality. She had decided that maybe going away from home was best for everyone. She can't continue living like this, always being judged by her mum and the neighbours taunting her about her marriage. It was already hard when Karan dumped her after the wedding, what will happen if they came to know about her pregnancy?. She's had enough of them and since she was determined to keep her child, she needed to leave this place and maybe she will find peace as well as giving her mum peace.
She already got help from one of her few friends. Her friend Sophia has always been there for her always willing to help her, even though their social statuses were different, they treated each other as sisters.
She called Sophia to escort her at her work place to hand in her resignation letter at the ICB centre. Even though the players and some staff were on a break she still feared to run into anyone at the academy and especially not Karan Luthra. If and when they returned for their new season she won't be around. Thankfully everything turned out well, she handed in her resignation and requested the Secretary not to tell any one about her departure until they returned. The Secretary knew that Preeta was friends with some of the players and had wanted to call them on their phones  and inform them but Preeta pleaded that they be told the day they returned in for the new season.

Mahira and Sheilyn were celebrating their victory, I can't believe we did it, Preeta is out of Karan's life and Luthra's too. Cheers! While Mahira was happy she had no idea that Sheilyn had other plans and isn't even interested in her wedding. Shes been planning her revenge against Luthras, and now that her biggest obstacle is gone she was going to do everything in her power to get what she wanted. "Sheilyn your so smart" she told herself but also thought how easy it is to manipulate these people.
She had to call Prithvi as soon as possible and give him the good news, she was aware of Prithvi's feelings for Preeta and that's the reason she hated her so much but hopped that he chose what's best for him and their child. She was planning on staying at Luthra's for so long as they would find out about her pregnancy which could prove that Preeta was right about her. She excused herself and left.
