Preeta entered her house smiling from ear to ear. She couldn't stop the blushing and didn't even see Sophia standing by the stairs until she heard her say something which made her startle.

"Someone is in love" Sophia teased.

"Sophia?, you almost gave me a heart attack. What are you still doing up?" Preeta asked.

"I didn't feel like sleeping so I went up to the balcony to kill some time however I just got  show I didn't pay for and am extremely happy that my friend is finally getting exactly what she deserves", she said smirking at Preeta.

Preeta acted innocent and pretended like she didn't understand what Sophia was hinting at.

"What do you mean?".

Preeta, please don't act dumb. You know exactly what am talking about. May I remind you that I just saw you making out with Karan a few minutes ago outside this house. I was at the balcony and I saw everything and when I say everything, I mean everything. So are you still gonna denay it".

Preeta stared at Sophia and debated whether to tell her the truth or not but then realized that she wasn't impressed with her deflecting so she told her the truth.

"Yes I just made out with the man I love. Happy now? "

Sophia hugged her there and then. "Am glad you were able to sort out your differences with him. I always knew you will get back together. It was just matter of time".

Sophia stared at her and asked "are you happy?".

"More than I will ever be"

"Good"

"I don't know why it took me so long to realize that despite everything he's the man for me. I love him and he loves me too. He's so lovely, good and gentle with with me. I guess love changes you. I know we won't change the past but we can definitely change our future together".

"Hmmm, I can only imagine what happened between you two. How good is he?, how was the sex?, give me details", Sophia asked teasing and smirking at the time.

Preeta felt small, shocked and ashamed at the same time. She couldn't believe what Sophia was asking about but that also didn't stop her from blushing.

"Nothing happened between us" Preeta answered lying to Sophia but she could see through to her that she's clearly lying. One of the traits that Preeta has is that she's a terrible liar and people realize it so easily.

Sophia started talking some shit which made Preeta feel uncomfortable and wanna hide.

"Sophia, I didn't know your this shameless and am not gonna talk about my sex life with you ever". Preeta mattered.

"So it's true you had sex with Karan".

"No, I didn't"

"Yes, your did, you can't even stop blushing" Sophia insisted.

"No"

"Yes, you did but am gonna take it as a no because Dianne owes me 100 dollars"

Before even she said more Dianne came to where they were seated and told Sophia to pay her.
Preeta couldn't believe her friends, "you bet on me and Karan?, I can't believe this, your so shameless, am out of here" Preeta left them there arguing.
Her friends were a bunch of idiots but she loved them nevertheless.

She went to her son's bedroom. It's been a week since she last saw him and even though she talked to him on phone. It's different. He was sound asleep. She laid beside him and caressed his face. Looking at him brought about Karan and what happened between them. She was smiling through happy tears. She and Karan are back together and have a gorgeous son who looks just like his dad. She pecked his cheek and left to her bedroom to freshnen up and sleep.
