Days later, they reached Mumbai quietly. Not even their families knew about their arrivals. They had told Sophia that they will be coming back on Tuesday however they changed their schedule and instead came on Monday. They were grateful that no press was there or that people didn't recognise Karan at best. Preeta still hated the media and all the rumours that were going on about Karan.

Karan had requested Preeta that she spends the night at Luthra house and everyone was surprised to see them there. They weren't expecting them so it was a surprise and they were happy for them. Sammy and Kritika couldn't stop teasing them and were only blushing which was embrassing because Karan's parents were seated on the same table.

To save them from the embrassment Rakhi asked how their trip went

"It was great mum"

"I can see that"

"Preeta, how are business going on over there?" Mahesh asked

"All is good, though we had to make a few changes"

"Change is always good especially from such big companies. New ideas are always needed".

"You know dad, we weren't meant to come back this early but we heard about Sherlyn and Prithvi's arrests. We couldn't stay back and let you go through this alone besides we are also witnesses to their crimes".

"Its good to have you back but we didn't really need you"

"Why is that?, we are part witnesses to this case"

"Of course you are but they won't have trial"

"What? After everything they did, they are going free?" Karan said angrily

"No! And you didn't make me finish what I wanted to say".

"Okay we are listening"

"They won't need a trial because the judge already gave his sentence. The evidence against them was too much and they even pleaded guilty. They will be transferred tomorrow to prison".

"Finally" Karan said happily

"I want to see Sherlyn"Preeta murmured

"Baby I don't want to you to go to that place. It's not for you. But I can go with others tomorrow".

"No Karan, I want to go. I have something important to say to her".

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, and don't worry with you by my side everything will go well".

"Am also coming with you", Rishabh told them. "I mean more than anyone I want to move on with my life and let the past go but I can only do that after I have spoken with Sherlyn. I may not have loved her but she was part of me, part of this family and also who was responsible for the harm they inflicted on my family". He continued to say

"Rishabh, you didn't know who Sherlyn was. She deceived us all, and if someone is to be blamed then it's me. I brought her into your life and this family. I saw her lies against Preeta and let her because at the time I wasn't so found of Preeta. And Preeta forgive me" Kareena told them

"Aunt Kareena, you were deceived just like the rest of us and you've already apologised. I forgave you a long time ago. We can't let Sherlyn destroy this; am happy that you changed for the better and got to know the truth", Preeta told her

"But am the happiest because my dear nephew has you. Am sorry I never saw it before but looking at you both; your perfect for each other and I pray that God strengthen the love you have for one another", Kareena told them.
