Preeta started laughing at what Sophia had just told her. "Excuse me madam, what's so funny?, I have told you that Luthras are now bankrupt  and your just laughing?" Sophia told her seriously. But she didn't stop laughing and she left her there looking like an idiot. "Preeta stop, am still talking to you" Sophia said and Preeta told her that, it can wait tomorrow however she still left laughing. "What the hell is wrong with her, what did I say wrong?" Sophia questioned herself, also wondering if her friend is fine.
When Sophia returned to her room, she found Dianne waiting and asked her how it went and how she took the news. " She just laughed about it, "what do you mean?" Dianne asked. "Exactly what you heard, when I told her, she started laughing then left there looking like a fool but after so much resistance, she said she's tied and we can talk about it tomorrow.

"That's odd!, that's not her" Dianne said. "I know what you mean my friend; but if you asked me, she's deflecting. Ever since we came and even before we left U.S.A, she was behaving strangely. She's trying to hide her feelings but trust me when I say that; they are gonna catch up on her soon enough before even realizing it. I also know that, she cares deeply for that family, always has and always will despite the shit they've done to her. So don't be surprised if she decides to help the Luthras. Preeta is a great person and very kind perhaps that's her greatest weakness" Sophia muttered.
And Sophia was wrong, Preeta was sulking in her bedroom. When she entered her room, she went straight where her son was sleeping and sat next to me. She was looking at him lovely and that's when her thoughts went to Karan. Thinking of her first time with him and being proud how they made such a beautiful child. She found herself smiling at the good memories she shared with him. "She came out of her dream land when she got startled by her son who has changed his sleeping position.

"What's wrong with me? , am not supposed to think about him" she thought and again she remembered what Sophia said about Karan's wedding not being pushed through, she wondered what could've happened and then the news of their bankruptcy surprised her. She laughed about it but the truth is that, she was surprised. Luthras are one of the wealthiest families in Mumbai she knew of, so what happened?, her curiosity got the better of her and had to make some phone calls. She knew some people from the high class and she had also met some in the States; so it wasn't gonna be hard to get the information she wanted. And after talking to someone she got to know that the Luthras have a loan from the bank and are un able to pay. She also got to know that no one from their circle is willing to help yet they have an ultimatum they have to fulfil or less the bank is taking their properties. She thought so hard and came up with a plan.

When Karan got home, everyone was worried for him because it was so late but also worried about their situation and the bank issue. But to their surprise, he entered sounding happy, he was singing. Karan was really in a good mood and wasn't gonna let his problems and family's problems spoil that no sir, he wasn't. His mum smiled at him and was happy to see smiling after all this time. "What has made my son so happy today? " Rakhi asked him. He came, gave her a hug, sat next to her and lamented everything to her. With so many problems at home, most of them forgot about Preeta and her child but when Karan told them about the little boy he met and how he looked familiar to him especially the connection he felt, Preeta's memories came back to haunt them. But then Sammy changed the mood by asking Karan "if he thinks Preeta gave birth to a  boy or girl and which he prefered",  he smiled at the question. He thought hard with his answer until he told him, he didn't care if it's girl or boy because the child would have Preeta's eyes and smile, and also wants it to grow and become a beautiful soul like the mother. By now, they knew she already gave birth because it's three years ago. "Mum, my child is three and so years now but, I don't know if I will ever meet him/ her however am not going to give up. I know we are facing a lot of difficulties as a family but I want to  make a promise to you all that from today am gonna work harder so the coach gives me back my rightful place on the team. If and whenever I meet my child, I want him to be and feel proud of me. So for my child I will never throw tantrums again. Mum, am glad I met that little boy today" he muttered.

The next morning when Preeta, Dianne and Sophia were having breakfast; Preeta apologized for how she behaved yesterday . "Your forgiven " she answered. "About what I told you last nite" Sophia was saying and Preeta told her, she already knows everything. The two looked at hesurprised, they wondered how she found out everything so first yet she seemed disinterested. "Fine, I made a few phone calls and I was told, they took out a loan from the bank but I don't want to know how that happened, am interested in the business" she told them. "We are listening, what do you want?" Dianne asked her.
The Luthra corporation is huge, and they have a wing that deals with celebrities and if it cooperated with our businesses that falls in line with hotels, bars and restaurants we can always use it to boost our businesses. People are only getting to knowb us little by little but if we hire these celebrities they can help to advertise our businesses even better. Secondly, I want shares in that company" she told them. "What?, you want shares?, I thought you wanted to help them since you always do" Sophia told her. "Technically, am still going to help them, in fact am giving them a better offer. From the business perspective am making the right decision isn't that so?", "well your not wrong, it could help our business, I didn't know you were this smart Preeta" Sophia teased her. " I learnt from the best" she said jokingly.

"You said, you want shares from Luthra corporation", "yes". How many are we talking about here?" Sophia asked. "Seventy five percent is what I want. Am going to give them an offer they won't refuse also because am sure they won't be able to pay us in time, so am simply making things easy for them. I give them money to save their properties from the bank and in the end instead of paying back, they give us shares. It's a win win situation for me and them besides this will usually save them from doing this mistake in the future" she answered. "I have heard you and your plan ain't bad at all, in fact it will be great for our businesses if everything goes to plan, however I have a question Miss .Preeta Arora; you don't want Luthras to know about you, how are you going to do it without raising suspicion that its you who gave them the money?" Sophia asked. "That's simple, just don't mention my name and on the paper work put my son's names but I will sign them on his behalf" she told her. "And who is gonna take care of them or represent him, neither me nor Dianne will be able to because we have other businesses to take care of and you will be working at the hospital " she asked. "When you set-up a meeting with Rishabh, tell him he will be in charge of everything and besides we aren't changing anything. The employee will stay and everyone will be happy, I don't think the Luthras can refuse a sweet offer like that. Besides your a genius when it comes to negotiating so make it happen and we shall have Luthra corporation as another of our newest purchases" Preeta told her and the three friends tossed to success!.😍

After a few days, Dianne and Sophia managed to schedule a meeting between them and Rishabh Luthra. They met at one the Arora restaurants which belonged to Preeta by the way and Rishabh appreciated the place, he didn't come alone, he came with his brother Sammy; and Sophia felt relieved because much as she knew them, they didn't know her but Karan did because Preeta introduced him to her a few years back when they still 'friends'. "Wow, this is a gorgeous place, didn't know about it" Sammy said. They had first complimented the place first before doing any introductions but they did and as Rishabh held Sophia's hand, he didn't want leave it and he was looking at her interestingly. Sammy had to tap on him and he let go. They told them as they had discussed with Preeta but brothers felt the seventy-five percent shares were too much, and unfair but Dianne and Sophia insisted and told them its what they can do for them, they either take it or leave it; however the brothers promised to get back to them as soon as they make a decision since they have to discuss with the family first.
