YESTERDAY

"WHAT", Rishabh shouted! .He couldn't believe what he was hearing, no Sammy that can't be; that can't be true, how and when did this happen? ho..w? he felt like he was suffocating and Sammy helped him sit down, he made his tie loose. He really scared Sammy who asked him what's wrong with him but he hid his emotions well, in fact with the expectation of his dad and maybe even Sheilyn no one knew  about his feelings for Preeta and he wants it to remain like that. So he had to keep his emotions in check and asked Sammy if Karan was aware of Preeta's pregnancy. "No brother, he's not, he doesn't need to know and we are not telling him, I made Shrishti a promise and am keeping it. I only told you this because I trust you and need your help" Sammy answered him. But Sammy this is something very big, I think he needs to know about it; "let's assume we tell him, you think he will believe anything that concerns Preeta? You've seen his reactions and behaviour towards her, besides this will give Mahira and Sheilyn more power  to tarnish her name even more. They've brainwashed and manipulated the whole family, no one will be on our side, maybe mum and Kritika but I expect nothing from others. We have to protect Preeta's secret, it's not ours to say but hers and the Aroras". Sammy answered . And when Rishabh thought about it he agreed with him.

"I have already hired an investigator to find her but so far no news, it's like she's disappeared from the face of the earth; I don't wanna have conclusions just yet but am scared Rishabh, I hope wherever she is, she's safe" said Sammy.
Rishabh looked dumbstruck and very sad. He felt so broken from the inside, yes he loved Preeta secretly and maybe he will always do. The time he found out that Karan and Preeta are married he was surprised because that was something he hadn't expected, so he backed off and instead vow to support them however he was very much  disappointed with his brother for hurting Preeta the way he did. Just like Sammy he felt helpless and hence failed her. In Preeta he saw a beautiful woman, with the most beautiful soul he has ever seen, he had wondered if there were another person like her. She's truly an angel.

He then remembered all the accusations his family made against Preeta, how Karan had continuously humiliated her, when he threw her out of their house yet she was injured at the time, God knows from what. He felt so much guilt and anger towards himself because he couldn't do anything to help Preeta when she needed support.  He now understood why Sammy was so angry at his family but especially Karan. They've destroyed someone's life, someone's daughter and someone's family, he wondered how Aroras were doing, how they were taking everything in,   he's even surprised that they haven't stormed into their house to arrest Karan, he thought to himself. "How did it come to this" he asked Sammy who was looking at him and asking himself the same question. He then told Sammy to go ahead and leave him because he wanted to have some alone time.

Sammy left him in his own thoughts, he was feeling so much anger towards Sheilyn because she has done so much damage to the woman he loves, he knew he had lost Preeta when he agreed to marry Sheilyn but he also wanted Preeta to marry a good man that truly deserved her, him trying to stop her from marrying Prithvi was because he knew he wasn't a good man and on hearing news that his brother had married her instead he felt happy and contented and thought they would be happy but then his brother disheartened him so much after knowing that he only married her to take revenge and now that he knows who is responsible he feels upset. He blamed himself because he accepted marriage to Sheilyn yet he was warned against her. And maybe had he not approved of the marriage Preeta wouldn't have gone through all this misery. "God what did I do?", he asked himself.

Tears fell on his chic while crying, he couldn't control himself, he got his wallet and got Preeta's picture he had kept there, he looked at it for a long time and said " am very sorry for the injustices that have happened to you because of my family, I promise to make Mahira and Sheilyn pay for hurting and humiliating you, I also hope that one day you forgive my brother, I know that he loves you very much but he's stubborn at times. He then laughed in between tears and told Preeta's pictures how she had changed his brother, at first I couldn't understand it because he behaved differently with you unlike other girls and he was happy being friends with you because he loves you, but  now everything has gone down hill because of  some evil people but I promise to make everything right.

Sammy got home early and everyone asked him where Rishabh was since they left together, he was about to answer when he entered, he looked tied and not his usual self, his eyes were swollen,  he found them having supper so he sat down to have his but he was quieter than usual, he and Sammy were acting strange so before he was questioned,  he left for his bedroom. Karan on the other hand wasn't settled as  well, he was really worried. He hasn't heard from Preeta, her phone is always off and he's scared to call her sister because he doesn't know what he will tell her and he thought of asking Sammy but he's been having this bad attitude towards him. He knew neither of his siblings or mother were in favour of his marriage to Mahira but he thought they were wrong in trusting Preeta so  he told himself he will go to her house tomorrow. After supper, everyone went to their respective rooms and as Sammy was going to his room, he felt his phone vibrating to check it was a text from the investigator.
