Chapter 10

My alarm was going off at five in the morning. I feel warmth behind me and see him in bed with me. Ugh, he climbed in bed with me last night. I tried to move his arm off of me but he held onto me tighter.

“Stop, go back to bed.” he mumbled.
Ignoring him. I get up and get dressed for the challenge today.

“Get your lazy ass out of my bed and go get ready for the challenge because it will determine who will run my pack. I will be in the challenge because I’m the smallest/strongest person and I’m the Alpha.”

“What! You can’t fight.”

“Uh yeah I can. You are not the boss of me. As far as I am concerned you're just a guy.”

“I will not let you fight.”

“You are not the boss of me. I’m going to fight and that’s it. I won’t even my Alpha strength.”
I left the room with him calling after me. I went outside and started my jog. When I got done, I headed to the training room to work on my punches. CeCe told me it was time for the challenge. We all headed down to the training field. 

“Welcome everyone, someone thinks they can be a better Alpha than me. So I organized the challenge to see who is actually better. I have chosen two people to fight and I have chosen to fight as well. Whoever thinks they can beat me, the pack is theirs. I won’t use my Alpha power either. Alright let the first round begin. Run your up. Sebastian choose your fighter.”

“I choose Rider.” 
“Fighters ready? Begin.”  Just one punch and Rider was down on the ground. 

“I guess I will win this one Sebastian. Miysuki your up.” After the twins' birthday, I went back to the store and asked her to join my pack. She happily accepted and I have been training her ever since. 

“I choose Colton, my Beta he won’t his power.” 

“Alright, fighter ready? Begin.” Same with Rin, she punched him and he was down on the ground. She was so strong. She takes after me.

“Arlight my turn. I’ll be fighting in wolf form.” I shifted and waited for my opponent. 

“I’ll fight you.” I see Sebastian shifting. Oo this will be fun.

When we got into a fighting position, he lunged at me and I dodged it. I attacked him from behind and pushed him to the ground. 

“Yield?”

“Never” 

“Ok” 

He flipped me over and growled at me. I laughed at him and kicked him off of me. I went low to the ground. He couldn’t see me and I knew he was looking for me. I continued to sneak up on him and then I pounced on him. I scared him and took him down. I won.

“Guess I won then Sebastian.”

“That’s not fair. You're smaller than me.”

“Life isn’t fair. I’ll see all you at training tomorrow morning and we get to be both Alpha.” I smiled and swayed my hips walking away to my room. I took a shower and changed into my usual clothes. A pair of shorts and a black tank top with black sneakers. I headed to my office to document the new pack members. I was looking for the Alpha King file but couldn’t find it.

“Weird, I could have sworn I set it down here.” I heard a knock on the door and went to open it. I saw Sebastian holding the file.

“What are you doing with that?” I snapped taking the back.

“I was looking through the file. You wouldn’t tell me about your past…” I cut him off.

“So you looking for it? How could you? This is why I don’t trust anyone.” I was heartbroken. I couldn’t stand to see him right now, so I left my office. I headed out to the forest to my secret spot. I sat there for what felt like hours because it was dark. I didn’t want to go back. Celina mindlinked me asking about where I am. She is the only person who knows about this place. I walked up to the water line and looked at my reflection. I needed my mother. I missed her so much. I was brought out of my thoughts when the smell hit me. I turn around and I see him.

“What do you want?” I said wiping a tear away.

“I’m sorry. I should have not done that. Are you okay?” he was walking towards me. 

“It’s fine. I’m fine. Wait how did you find me?”

“Celina told me.”

“Ugh, really so now I can’t even have alone time here.”

“Hey, don’t be mad at her. She was just worried about you. She told me because she is pregnant so she couldn’t find you.”

“Fine. Let’s go back and stay out of my room. I can barely stand to see you right now.” I lower my head and walk to the house. I go right upstairs to my room not talking to anyone. I take a deep breath and read a book. I tried to sleep but I couldn’t. I got out of bed and slipped on a hoodie that belonged to my dad and black ripped jeans. I threw on my pink sneakers and headed out to my car. I drove to the cemetery. I found my parents grave. I started talking to the head stones.

“Mom, dad I miss you guys so much. I’m to be a good Alpha but it’s so hard. I only know how to be a warrior but it has come in handy. Alpha King tried to hurt me and the twins. Dad if you were here you have ripped his head off. Mom you left me too soon. I found my mate a few months ago. The twins shifted and looked like your wolves. Spencer took after you mom, with her snow white fur. Liam took after you dad, with his pitch black hair. They both have purple eye genes. They both have a purple eye and a golden eye.” I was talking to them for hours then I eventually fell asleep. I felt a strong pair of arms lift me off the ground and carry me to my room. I recognized the scent. 

“Stay with me.” I grabbed his hand before me left my room.

“But you said…”

“Forget what I said, I don’t want to be alone tonight.” 

He didn’t say anything more and climbed into bed with me. I snuggled close to him.

“How did you know where I was?”

“I followed you. I was worried about you that something might have happened to you. I saw you fall asleep talking to your parents. I’m sorry about them. I know what is like to lose your parents.”

“Thank you. I’m probably the worst mate ever.” I said sleepily.

“What? You're not gonna yell at me for following you?! You are not a bad mate. You wanted to prove that females can be a great leader like males. Plus it just makes me more attracted to you.” we both laughed. 

“Thank you for everything. I’m sorry for being stubborn. I just had a rough life. I couldn’t trust guys anymore. I promise when I’m ready I will tell you everything.” with that I fell asleep. I felt Sebastian kiss the top of my head.
