New Dawn In the Woods

Chapter 2

It has been almost a week since the funeral. Celina has been on edge because she has a small baby bump. She thinks something is wrong with the baby. So I scheduled a doctor appointment for her since Layton is busy. Her appointment is tomorrow. So I spent the day planning the twins’ twelfth birthday in three weeks. Even though we are seven years apart, our birthdays are only a few weeks apart. They were about three when dad died. They don’t remember him. When a wolf becomes of age, they have their every first shift without the full moon. A year after their first shift they have to change with the full moon until they are able to control their wolf and remember shifting. Celina came into the kitchen and started making us something to eat. 

“Do you want fried eggs or scrambled?” she asked. 

“Uh.. scrambled eggs,” 

“Ok,” she started making them.

“Hey your appointment is tomorrow by the way. Also don’t worry about your pregnancy, I’m a hundred percent sure your baby is fine.” I said reassuring her. 

She finished making the eggs. We ate in silence until Spencer came stomping inside.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“My birthday is in three weeks and so is my first shift. I’m scared Rosie.” she said on the verge of tears because mom and dad aren’t here to watch Liam and Spencer. I looked down at my eggs not feeling my appetite anymore. I feel a gentle touch on my shoulder, I look over and see MJ comforting me. It’s been hard these last couple weeks with my mom dieing on my birthday, not finding my mate, and having to bury another parent. I just couldn’t do it. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Spencer asking me to design her birthday dress.

“So could you do that for me?” she asked

“Could I do it?” I was confused not hearing a word she said.

“Make me a dress?”

“Of course I can, sweetie.” 

“Yay, you're the best sister ever.”
 
“I’m your only sister.” I exclaimed.

“That’s why you are the best.” she said excitedly and walked back outside. I just chuckle and began thinking about what I could do for her dress. I was excited. The rest of the afternoon, Celina and I just sat on the couch watching movies, laughing at each other's stories, and eating snacks I made her eat healthy due to the pregnancy. She didn’t like that idea but she will feel better. Layton came to pick Celina. I got to the kitchen and started making dinner. Liam and Spencer walked into the kitchen and sat at the bar.

“Mmm.. something smells good sis,” Liam says. Spencer nods in agreement. 

“Well it should. It’s your favorite.” I say smiling. They both look at each other then look at me with big smiles on their faces.

“TUNA FISH CASSEROLE!!” They shout aloud and dance around the kitchen and hug me from behind. I love my siblings so much. I am a very lucky girl to have amazing siblings and a wonderful best friend who has been there for me since we were kids .I’m very excited to see their wolves. I finished making dinner. Spencer set the table for me. I put the food in the middle. We ate in silence. After eating, they go upstairs and get ready for bed while I clear the table and do the dishes. I headed upstairs to see if they were in bed. I walked in, kissed the top of their heads, whispered goodnight and headed to my room. I showered, changed in pjs and headed to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.
