New Dawn In the Woods

Chapter 13

I woke up in my room and in my bed. What’s happened? I get up and put on the dress I made. This feels so familiar to me. I don't  know why. I head downstairs and the party is out back. It’s Spencer and Liam’s birthday. All of a sudden, I hear screams coming from the back yard. I see Alpha King killing my brother and sister, my pregnant best friend Celina and Layton. I run back and see their bodies detached from their heads. I start crying. I fell to the ground and kept sobbing. King walks up to me and grabs me by the neck. He said that I am his. He takes me to my room and locks the door. He traps me between him and the wall. His fangs are out and gently grazed my neck. Then he plunges his fangs into my neck. I screamed out in pain. I begged him to stop but he didn’t. He throw me on my bed and rips my clothes and starts to rape me over and over. I scream at him to stop and try pushing him off but he doesn’t. He locks me in the dungeon and he comes back and marks me but it doesn’t stick. He forcefully marks me. I’ve lost count of the days. Suddenly, a very sharp pain erupts from my body… 

I jolt awake and see I’m in my bedroom. Oh thank god it was just a nightmare. I see Sebastian laying beside me. What happened? Then my head starts pounding reminding me of last night. I was attacked by rogues and he saved me. I feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I run my finger over the pain and feel bandages. Oh no. I felt a sharp pain in my neck after I turned to get my surroundings. I feel a hole in my neck. But if they did, then why didn't they go away? I feel Sebastian sturr then wake up.

“Oh thank god you're alive.” he said wrapping me in a hug.

“What happened?”

“Well, you were attacked last night. There were three rogues but more kept coming. You killed the first two rogues. The other one almost forcefully marked you. I stopped him before he could. You fell to the ground and blacked out. I fought off ten more. One of them stabbed you before I could stop them. You were dying and the only way to save you was… wa… t… to mark you.” he said he felt guilty for marking me but it was the only way to save me. He must have seen me feeling it. I never moved my hand from my mark.

“What?”

“Yeah, you lost a lot of blood and you weren’t going to heal on your own. I’m sorry but I had no choice.”

I had to take in all this information. I kept rubbing my neck. I heard a knock on the door and saw Layton walk in wearing his doctor’s coat and bag.

“Ah, Ro it’s good to see you awake. You are out for a few weeks. That knife was laced with poison. Your mate bond kept you alive long enough for me to make the cure for it. How are you feeling?”

I could barely talk. I was poisoned.

“Uh… I feel fine I guess. My stomach hurts and so does my neck.”

“That’s normal to pain after you have been marked. As for your stomach, I will have to change your bandages tho.” he said laying me down. I noticed I was wearing a black crop top and galaxy shorts. 

He lifted my shirt to reveal my bandaged stomach. He slowly takes off the old ones. When it is off, I see a stab wound. It’s almost healed. Luckily it won’t scar. The scar on my shoulder was aching though. He must have noticed me rubbing it.

“It hurts doesn’t it?”

“Hm?”

“Your scar Ro.” 

“Oh yeah a little. I don’t why though.”

“Hmmm, what was your nightmare about? So you also had a very minor concussion from hitting your head.”

“Oh okay. I don’t want to talk about it.” I said with no emotion and turned my head away.

“Well, your cut is all healed for you. It still will be very sore for a few days.” he said left the room.

“Hey I felt your uneasiness. What was your nightmare about?” Sebastian asked worried

“Don't worry about it.” I got up and walked into the bathroom to shower. It felt like I had no emotion at all. Being Alpha sucks. 

“Ro talk to me please.”

“I can’t. I don’t want to remember the nightmare. It was terrible.” I fell to the ground sobbing. Sebastian took my nakes body in his arms and placed me in the shower. He started washing my body as I cried. 

He didn’t say anything about it all. I was happy he didn’t. I eventually calmed down and relaxed in the shower. I got changed and walked to the front door. Sebastian and I walked through the pack. It was his idea. It was to help me take my mind off things. I have to admit it was nice. He held my hand. I felt his warmth and it kept me calm. We headed to the pack house again and made dinner. Spencer and Liam started their training a few weeks ago the day after I went into a coma. I was proud of them. I walked up to them and hugged them so tight and tears fell from my eyes. I was living that nightmare for weeks. I missed them. I’m so happy I fought and killed Alpha King. A lot
 of the rogues from the night knew exactly who I was and what I did. They were terrified of me. While I was gone, we had a hunter problem. Rin tortured and killed them. She even mailed back their bodies to the other hunters. Warning them if they came back, they would all be killed by me. I came to the most feared Alpha known to rogues and hunters. Most importantly, other packs. There is one Alpha who doesn’t like me and has planned a day to attack me. I’ll be ready. We have been taking in rogues who were on the run and turned them into my most best fighters.

It has been a year and it’s my birthday. I didn’t want to come out of my room because it was also my mother's death anniversary.

“Ro come on come out.” my mate argued with me through the door. Over the years we have become close.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No”

“If you don’t come out, I’ll break the damn door down.”

I gave up and opened it. I was dressed in my usual outfit.

I walked past him and grabbed my keys. I headed out the door. I drove to the grave yard to visit my mother. I was there all day. I fell asleep by accident. I felt my mate pick me up and place me in the car. He drove him. He carried me to my room and put me to bed. He crawled in bed. The moment his arms wrapped around me. I started crying. I cried until the darkness took over my body.
