New Dawn In the Woods

Chapter 18

Over the last couple weeks, I have been spending time with the twins. I let Sebby take over for a while. I missed being a simple girl with not a care in the world. They have been sneaking into my room at night and sleeping next to me. At least I know they are safe in my arms, being an Female Alpha has drawn attention to myself and this pack. I handle affairs and attacks. Sebastian does the rest. We did a joint leadership because I made it clear that I can resist the bond as well as letting him take over. I’m currently laying in bed with my siblings beside me. 

“I see that it has become a regular thing now.” I giggled as I got up to get ready for the day. It was the first day of winter and it was white. It’s December and I turned nineteen a few weeks ago. I have made plans to throw a big dinner party and gift exchanges. I heard them giggle to themselves as I disappeared into the bathroom. 

“Hey guys, I’m into town for some Christmas shopping wanna go?” I yell from the bathroom. 

“Sure,” they replied together 

“Go see if CeCe will go with us.” I heard them run down the stairs and then disappear into the house. It was a really big house. It was a mansion. I giggled to myself and finished getting ready. I put on my favorite pink shirt paired with dark blue jeans. I grab my boots and slide my feet into them. I grab my keys and wallet. I head downstairs to see if CeCe and the twins are ready to go to town. We walk out to my car and get in. 

“So what store should we do first?” I asked.

“I don’t know. A whole two hours without the babies is good enough for me.” We laugh and head to town. We live near a small town called Winter Falls. This is where my company building is. Quite a few of the pack members actually come to work here. They don’t give us trouble living in small houses on the outskirts of town. They don’t mind us anyways. Some of the humans know we are werewolves but don’t care. They are keeping the secret and that’s okay with us. Alpha King purposely exposed our secret to the town. Some of the mates in the pack actually are mated to humans. We pull in front of the big shopping mall here. The pack actually helped build it. We have shown no reason for them to hurt us or us hurting them. They knew what kind of person Alpha King was and were happy that he was dead.

A couple hours later, we were done with shopping. We could not feel our feet by the time we got home. I was sore that I was too tired to make dinner. Sebastian must have known because he greets us as we come in the door. 

“Ah just in time.” he opening his arms and embracing me    in a hug. 

“Uh, in time for what?” I asked pulling him off

“Dinner, I figured you would be too tired to make dinner so Layton and I made dinner. So come in and sit. Everything is ready.” he said ignoring my fighting against him and just hugged me tighter. I gave in and hugged him back. Whatever they cooked smelled so delicious.

“I have to do more shopping tomorrow and I’ll take the twins with me.” I said. 

“I will go with you Ro,” Sebastian said

“Okay.” I replied sitting down at the table. We are eating dinner and having fun. I have a really good time with my family. I head upstairs to find my siblings are already in my bed. 

“I think it’s time you two start sleeping in your beds now. Okay? I love that you are here but I need space too. We will go shopping again tomorrow. I need sleep. I’ll tuck you guys in though.” they nodded agreement and I did what I said. I headed back to my room. Yes I still treat them like kids. They never got that motherly love ever since our mom had cancer. She stopped taking care of them so I had to step up and care for them.
