New Dawn In the Woods

Chapter 6

Today is the day we all have been waiting for, it's the twins’ birthday. I got up extra to go make them breakfast in bed. I had to beat Cece to it. I didn’t care that I was in my pjs but I spent all morning making them breakfast. I brought the trays with the food on it to their rooms. I wished them happy birthday and left to go get ready after I cleaned the dishes. I left food for Rin because she went out on a run. The reasons I let her in because she has no one else to go and she is the only one with that much strength as me. She will have to help me take care of He Who Should Not Be Named (if u get that reference good for u). I finally got the dishes done, now I can go get ready. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Ughhh, I just want to go get dressed and shower. 

“Delivery for a Rosie Jaeger?” the man said

“Uh yeah, that’s me.”

“Where do you want the desk and bench?”

“Uh, in the garage. Thank you.” I tipped the guy and closed the door.
Finally, I get ready for the day.

I got in the shower and let the water relax me because today is going to be crazy. I got out and grabbed my dress I made for this day. It’s a long, flowy strapless with a sunset color. It is so beautiful. I’m so good at this. I giggle to myself. I heard Rin come in.

“Rin.” I called.

“Yes?”

“How was your run?”

“Good, but there are things going around saying that Alpha’s mate left him late last night and he went out drinking and didn’t show up until this morning. So I went to see the house and she did leave him. He is a mess and no one is blaming the mate. I would be careful. I will keep watch though. Cute dress.”

“Uh oh, he better not show up. I didn’t invite him or any other pack member. I will keep that in mind but I have will to keep my guard up. Thank you Rin.” I hugged her. I’m so worried he will show up. 

A couple hours later, Celina and Layton showed up and placed their gifts on the table. I was in the kitchen baking the cake. Spencer and Liam were dressed and headed to their friends’ house. I didn’t hear CeCe come until she said hello.

“Hi Ro, are you okay? You seem shaken up.”

“I… I’m fine. CeCe. Hey can you promise me something? Layton come in here please. I need to speak with the both of you” I said trying to fight back my tears.

“What’s wrong?” he asked all worried. He should be.

“Ok. Whatever happens today, promise me, you will get the twins and leave this place until I say it's okay to come back.” I said as tears silently fell from my eyes. If he gets me, I don’t have to take them and use them against me. I have to keep my siblings safe. I have to keep Celina and her pups safe.

“Why… what’s going to happen today.” she asked.

“Just promise me.”

“I promise.” I told Layton to stay back so I could talk to him.

“Celina you may leave. Hey the desk and the bench are here and up their rooms. Why don’t you go decorate them.” she nodded and walked upstairs.

“Rosie, what is going on?” he questioned.

“Alpha King might come for me. He is going to force mate with me. I can’t let him get the twins nor CeCe. I’m going to challenge him for Alpha. I might die or not. I don’t know. I don’t have twins here. If he shows up at the party tonight, you have to get them out here. Rin will be here with me. While I have him focused on me, she will take out any loyal wolf to him. Just promise you won't let him take them. Please protect them.” I finally caved in and started crying. Layton helped me as I wheaped. He was calming me down. I gave him an address to my family’s cabin I used to go to every summer as a kid. The twins won’t remember it because they were just born when we stopped going there.

“Ok, I will get them out here. You have to be careful. He is ruthless and will kill you if he gets the chance.” he said knowing he can’t change my mind.

“I will.” 

“What makes you say he will show up?”

“Because his wife left him late last night, he has the obsession with me. I could feel his eyes on me when I went to the pack house.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.” with that Celina came downstairs to help decorate the house and the cake. We finally finished setting up everything. It was five o’clock. The guests I did invite showed up. We celebrated their birthday. There were games, cake, dinner, and presents. The full moon is almost out.

“Come on kids, the full moon is almost out. You have to prepare for your shifts.”

They came downstairs and we headed outside. The shift began. Once they learn control over their shifting, they won’t need the moon. They can do it by will. They were screaming out of pain and finally shifted. Spencer looks like mom with her snow white fur and purple eyes except she had one purple eye and gold eye. She had a black diamond on her nose. Her wolf is named Korra. Liam looks like dad. He is pitch black and the same eye color as Korra. His name is Luka.

“Hello Korra and Luka.”  I shifted and led them into the forest. We were running around and playing with each other. It was so fun. We shifted back and put our clothes back on. The wind picked up a little bit but it was enough to carry a familiar scent to my nostrils. I ran to the back door where the party was with a scared look in my eyes. I heard him coming from the front of the house. I tried to suppress my anger. 

“Well, well what do we have here.” Alpha King started.

“You are not welcome here Alpha. You can not show up unannounced. This is a special day.” I started guarding my siblings behind me. I mindlinked Layton ‘when I say leave, you take the twins and Celina, and get the hell out of here” “Ok.”

“Now, now is that any way to treat your Alpha.” he was giving me this hungry look.

“You are not my Alpha. You killed my father. Leaving these two go grow up without one, you monster.” I spat.

“Ooo I like a girl who is feisty.” he licked his bottom lip. He started walking to me. I held my ground. He doesn’t scare me and his Alpha voice will not work. Layton growled at him as he walked towards Celina. He was getting ready to beat her until I got in the way. 

“You stupid girl. My mate left me and you are going to be my new mate.” he said putting his hand around my neck ready to choke me. I bit him. He dropped me. I grabbed the twins and headed to Layton’s car. I told them I would come back for them. Layton and Celina got into the car before they could get away King picked me up and threw me across the yard. I smashed into the tree my mom planted when I was born. I cried out in pain. He started walking towards me. I told Layton to get out of here. The whole was around us. I struggled to get up but I did whine in pain.. 

“Rosalina Jaeger challenges Alpha King to death.” the crowd gasped.
Rin gave me the thumbs up when the loyal pack members were killed.

“You foolish girl, no one dares go against me.”

“Well, I’m of you being a sucky Alpha. You beat your wife. That’s why she left you. She even took your hair with her. I helped her escape. I challenge you for the title of Alpha. Your voice doesn’t work with me King.”

We shifted and started fighting. I charged at him. I grabbed his neck with my teeth and bit down with a death grip not letting go. He was trying to shake me off but I clawed his eyes out blinding him. I let go. I started to walk behind him and jumped on his back. I was ripping into the flesh. I could feel my canines sink into his skin as I clawed deeper into his back with my claws.  My once beautiful white fur was no longer white. It was covered with blood. I was covered mostly in his blood. He clawed at my shoulder. I cried in pain. He was more hurt than me. I once again grabbed on to his neck and bit hard. His body went limp. I dropped his body on the ground and he was dead. The Alpha power went to me. Everyone bowed down and accepted me as their new Alpha. I did what no wold ever dared to do, challenge Alpha King. Suddenly, everything went back around me.
