Chatper 17

I felt two bodies around me. I open my eyes and see that Spencer and Liam are both snuggled up to me. It hit me hard that I have to be really careful and try to kill myself. I promised mom I would look after them but I can’t do that when I’m running a pack. I had no problem rejecting the mate bond, well more like resisting it. My mark reopened and started bleeding. I no longer let my wolf take over anymore. We have been sleeping apart. I just needed time from him. I got up trying not to wake up the twins and went to get changed. When I walked out of the shower, they were awake. 

“I see you both curled up in my bed last night.” I chucked my hair up.

“Sorry, it’s just we both missed you.” Spen said

“I know I’m sorry guys. Hey how about we spend some time together today.”

“But what about work?” Liam said

“Well, I have a little bit of work to do in the office. I have to finish first then have someone take over for me. You two are more important to me.” I said pulling them into a hug. 

“Now how about double chocolate chip pancakes?” I said

“Yes!” 

We walk downstairs to the kitchen. They were planning the day out while I made breakfast. We ate and talked about fun activities we could do together. They were still planning things so I had a little time to do some work. My mark kept bleeding. I walked into the bathroom in the office to see that it was gone. I didn’t feel the mate bond as much. It was weird but oh well, maybe my body didn’t like being forced. He did mark me against my will.
“He is our mate. He doesn’t have to ask to mark us.” 

“Uh yes he does. The mark is gone Nora. I have a pack to focus on and siblings.” 

“Rosie don’t be that way. He loves us and I know you feel the same way.”

“No what I feel is betrayed by the one person who I’m supposed to spend the rest of my life with.” 

“I want him Rosie. You can’t resist the bond for long.” with that Nora stopped talking to me. Great, now my wolf is mad. I will let him mark me when he has earned it. I couldn’t mindlink him anymore so I called him. 

“What do you want?” he asked

“I need you to come to my office now please.” 

“Oh so now you are going to be nice to me?” he said sarcastically

“Hey I don’t have let you help me run this pack or mate me.” I said

“Fine, I’ll be there soon.” 

“Good hurry up I have the day planned to spend time with my siblings.” I ended with that. A few minutes later, I hear a knock on the door. 

“Enter.”

“Sebastian, I need to do some work for me please.” I said standing up finishing some paperwork. 

“Okay.” he said. 

“Thank you. I know I haven’t been the best mate but I need time. After everything I’ve been through, I need to see you won’t hurt me. I’m sorry about the mark. I was mad and hurt that you went behind my back.” I said looking up at him. 

“I’m sorry too. I should have never done that without you or your permission. It’s okay. I know I forced it on you. Would you please give me a second chance to make it up to you?”

“I don’t know Sebastian. I truly don’t know…” with that I left the office and to find my brother and sister. His words rang in my head. Maybe I could forgive him. I mean after all I resisted the bond. If the circumstances were different then maybe I wouldn’t still be here. I tried to forget about him for the day.

The rest of the day, I spent it with Liam and Spencer. They took turns picking out our destinations. It was fun. I kept that I could hand the Title over to Sebastian but the other half said no. I fought and killed the Alpha to get here. I couldn’t give it up and since I have my mate with me now, he can run the pack while I am away. That’s what I have decided now I just have to tell him. We got home in time for me to make dinner but I didn’t eat. I headed to my office to look for Sebastian. I knocked on the door and waited for him to respond.

“Come in” he said

“Hey…” I said

“What’s up?” he said not even looking at me from the papers

“You said you wanted it up to me right? Well I have a proposition for you. Are you interested?” I asked, still standing in front of the door after closing it.

“Of course I’m interested.” he stood up and walked to me. I started walking backward until my back touched the door. 

“Well we can do a joint Alpha leadership.” I said moving away from him before he pushed me against the door. 

“Um when my siblings want to hang out with me, you can take over. You can handle the attacks while I do the other stuff.” I said leaning against the desk. He just stared at me.

“You know you are a very difficult person to read. I like it.” he said, walking slowly to me. 

“So you are in?” I said I was getting kinda nervous by his comment.

“Yes.” he was right in front of me. His hand caressed my cheek. The touch sent the sparks through my body. I guess my wolf wants me to accept him. 

“And about us, I think we should just take things slow please.” I said moving his hand off my cheek.

“Okay, I’m glad you are choosing to accept me.” he said

“Well I haven’t decided to accept you yet.” I said lying

“But your body says something else.” he whispered in my ear.

“Okay that’s enough.” I said

“Hey by the way, dinner is done.” leaving the office to go to my bedroom. 
I showered and changed into pjs. I crawled into bed. 

“Nore?” 

“I’m here.”

“I’m sorry Nora for ignoring your needs too. I just let my emotions get the best of me.”

“I know Ro and it’s okay.”

“I’m giving Sebastian a second chance.”

“I know. I felt it and heard it.”

“Goodnight Nora.”

“Night Ro” I ended our conversation and closed my eyes.
