She was so beautiful. I'd been laying beside her in our bed for about twenty minutes longer than I planned to. She was still mad at me for kissing her last night. She had frozen as I strode towards her, but she didn't say anything. Her silver eyes were vulnerable and she gasped when I threaded my fingers through her hair. Livona's lips were moist as she'd licked them moments before and it only made me hungrier to kiss her. Then, abruptly, she pushed me away and huffed with fury behind her eyes. Without another word, she stormed out and I'd slipped my hands in my pockets, annoyed. When I returned to our room, I was also annoyed to find she wasn't there. But I stayed put and changed into my pajamas. I could still feel her hair surrounding my fingers. Eventually, long after the moon had peaked, she returned and slapped at my legs to move them. I raised a brow without opening my eyes and mumbled hoarsely.

"Climb over me, I'm comfy." I could practically feel her frustration and tried to contain my satisfied chuckle. Then I felt her wrists and shins brushing over my legs before she plopped down beside me, falling asleep as far from me as possible. She just didn't want to admit she liked me. Now she was cuddling her pillow, peacefully asleep. It was about an hour before my dad would call the pack for the meeting. I was excited to show her off to my people. They would love her, I just knew it. Livona sighed in her sleep as the sun began to drift into the room. Placing a fleeting kiss on her forehead, I stood from the bed. My shirt was wrinkled because Livona had clung to it in her sleep. I think she was having a nightmare, but I never woke her. She had buried her face in my neck for awhile and she seemed fine. So I just wrapped my arm around her. Sometime in the night, she'd drifted away and instead clung to her pillow. Now, I closed the curtains so she could sleep longer. Then I pulled the blanket up to her shoulders and started my day. I had to catch up on a lot of work before training this afternoon. I knew  Livona was still shaken up about being chased and that's why I indulged her wanting to be trained. Besides she had a good point that people wouldn't always be there. My wolf was annoyed that she thought we wouldn't protect her, but my human side was less prideful. There was always a chance she could get in danger that I couldn't help. Snagging a pair of khakis and a blue Polo, I slipped into my bathroom. I paused to find her stuff scattered on my counter in one corner and shook my head. Half of her things still needed to be unpacked. Quickly I showered and towel dried my hair. Instead of taking the time to brush my hair, I pushed it all back and slipped into my clothes. When I exited, Livona was still asleep. Not that I minded. I was sure she was under a lot of stress after all. I glanced at my shoes and then opted to remain barefoot. Moving to the bedside, I brushed my knuckles over her cheek as she sprawled out on my side, spooning her pillow and laying on mine. I chuckled and then tore myself away. I could easily be here another twenty minutes just watching her. There were alpha duties that needed my attention. The door softly closed behind me and I was surprised to see Connor with wide eyes and mouth open. I offered him a smile and questioned curiously.

"Were you looking for me Connor?" Closing his mouth, Connor nodded stiffly and his eyes dropped, cheeks ablaze. It was unusual for cheeky Connor to come across so bashful. I brushed my hand on his elbow and gestured for him to walk with me.

"Well alright, what's on your mind? This is the second time you've come to my room in less than twenty-four hours." Connor's Adams apple bobbed nervously and he began softly, unsure.

"I wanted to talk to you about some things. It's kind of important, but you can't tell anyone." Frowning, I nodded and tried to catch his eyes. They flickered about, as if he expected someone to jump us and worry bound up my chest. I tried to sound calm, the way an alpha is supposed to sound and replied encouragingly.

"Alright, we can speak in my office...but I need to know, are you in some sort of trouble Brother?" Connor chuckled and his ruddy cheeks returned, scratching the back of his neck.
