My mind kept drifting elsewhere as I leaned against a tree outside. Even my pack mates noticed my wandering consciousness. They all chattered instead of doing their warm ups and instead of yelling at them as I normally would, I imagined Livona beside me. Once again, I began worrying about her getting hurt in training. I had already made up my mind that none of the guys besides me would spar with her. I considered asking Ryan, but she was a little too aggressive for my comfort. If Kelly were ever to be trained, I would ask her. Out of nowhere, I felt a nudge in my side and directed my attention to Monica whom stared up at me in concern. Sometimes she showed up for training, but she was a skilled fighter when the pack took her in as a scared eleven year old. I offered her a brief smile as she leaned into my side, guiding my arm around her shoulders as she often did, speaking softly.

"You alright Ry?" I shrugged, watching my pack mates goofing around, especially Anthony messing with Ryan. Ryan tried to punch him, but Anthony grabbed her wrists and pulled her against him. She narrowed her eyes at him, her lips fighting a smile. They had been together since junior high, not that you could tell. Ryan had a sharp tongue and it often lashed out on Anthony, whom was too lighthearted to mind, and Anthony flirted with everyone as casual conversation. I always wondered why Ryan didn't seem to really care, but I think it was because at the end of the day, he would never want anyone the way he always wanted her. Anthony beamed playfully, and leaned down, guiding her arms around him slowly. Maybe one day, Livona would let me do that. She stiffened every time I touched her, as if I were going to hurt her. That struck at my wolf the wrong way. Suddenly, my mood had turned gloomy, and I extracted msyelf from Monica.

"Get to your spot, I'm starting training." She frowned, but obeyed and I moved forward, clasping my hands behind my back and yelling out sternly.

"Places!" Swiftly, everyone scurried into their usual positions, awaiting my next command silently. Maintaining a stern expression, I called out sharply.

"Run through warm ups, set 3." Most of my friends growled, knowing I chose the hardest warm ups, but I simply stared back. Soon I joined in, no longer able to endure the tension in my muscles. I called out the pace, but stood between Monica and Ryan, as they silently worked their muscles hard. Just about everyone else was huffing or growling in irritation. I froze as my nose caught a couple familiar scents. Straightening up, my eyes found Livona rounding the corner with Lissette's arm in hers and Shamos and Trevor trailing them respectfully.

"Alright, get into sparring positions, but don't start yet." Most of everyone cried out in relief and shuffled towards their sparring partners. As Livona drew nearer, I turned back in her direction and smiled until I realized what she was wearing. Her body was toned and complimented the black yoga pants she adorned, but I was completely unprepared to see her torso clad in nothing but a bright pink sports bra. My wolf was drooling at the obvious prowess of our mate, but my human half was annoyed at the fact that every other male could observe it also. Striding towards her, I yanked off my t-shirt, which seemed to catch both girl's attention as their eyes widened and Lissette's cheeks turned pink. Turning my shirt inside right, I deftly pushed it over her head and ignored her cry of annoyance.

"Hey! What are you-" Grasping her by her biceps, my lips brushed against her earlobe as I whispered darkly.

"Unless you want my wolf to put every male into submission, I suggest you just wear the shirt." My eyes prickled as they drew back to meet hers. She seemed to understand and nodded, but with a frown on her face. Pushing her arms through the sleeves, she turned to Lissette with a small grin.

"Are you sure you don't want to train with me Lissy?" Lissette emitted an airy laugh and drew back with her hands clasped at her waist.

"As tempting as that is, Trevor promised to show me around and I feel that is more important presently." I scooped up Livona's hand and began leading her back towards the training area where everyone waited.
