The rest of Riley's friends and a couple of Connor's on side - - - - - - >

How do I get my hands to stop shaking? The entire room was filled with wolves and they were all staring at me. Riley introduced me as his Luna, essentially his other half. I couldn't help but feel guilty about it. Before I realized what I'd done, I was asking if I could say something. He seemed surprised, but allowed me. Now hundreds of eyes blinked at me expectantly. Rubbing the hem of my sweater between my index finger and thumb, I hesitantly smiled and tried to project my voice like mother had taught me.

"I know I'm not what you all expected for your Luna, but I just wanted to say that I plan to try... Really hard to do the right things for you guys. Honestly, I don't know much about werewolves but I'm willing to learn if you guys will help me out and don't be afraid to just tell me that I'm flat out wrong, " I paused with a nervous chuckle and the majority of them laughed genuinely. "Also, I'm still really new at this whole thing, but I know relationships are built on trust so I would like to get to know as many of you as I can. As long as I'm your Luna I want you to treat me as you would any of your pack mates. Um... I believe that's all." Then I swiveled to peer back at Riley, silently asking what to do. He had a wide grin and I jumped when applause began to pulsate through the room. Riley joined and I noticed that Malcolm and Reed were too. My face flamed up and I tucked my hair behind my ear, sheepishly returning to stand beside Riley. Before I could do anything else, Riley guided me against him and thrust his lips over mine. Taken off guard, I allowed it and rested my palms over his chest, feeling his bustling heartbeat that echoed throughout my body. Between the applause and the rhythm of his pulse, my entire being began pulsating on that little stage. A fresh blush flamed over my face and I pulled away from Riley, and hoping his pack couldn't see my blush. Riley interlaced our fingers and then called out over the deafening sound, making them gradually quiet.

"Unless my father has more to say, that's all." Reed laughed and threw up his hands, waving them all out.

"No, no you're Alpha now, they have heard me blow hot air for enough years." Riley beamed and then watched as most of the families began to filter out, conversing excitedly. Tugging me down off of the stage, three guys and a couple girls practically tripped over themselves, reminding me of a bunch of hyperactive dogs. No pun intended. They were all loud except the two girls, one dark haired, the other fair haired, and both smirking off at the sides. One with blonde curls and vibrant blue eyes sidled up on my free side and I blinked as he spoke alarmingly swiftly.

"Name is Anthony, first wolf to personally beat up old Riles there." A stern looking guy with light chestnut hair and brown eyes called back while pushing his glasses from the middle of his nose.

"That was in fifth grade you twit, it doesn't count." His head whipped to the offending guy and called back with a scoff.

"Did anyone ask for your recount of the memory Peter? Oh wait, no!" Then another guy who has similar features to Peter stepped in the middle, his face less angular and hair even lighter than Peter's, but darker than Anthony's.

"Guys, you sound like girls." Then the girl with black hair in a tight ponytail, Adidas sweats, and a plain t-shirt punched his arm, causing the boy to cringe uncomfortably. "Ow! What the hell Ryan?!" The girl seemed to be gritting her teeth and growled lowly.

"They sound like what?" Rolling his eyes, the guy held out a hand to pat the top of her head that only reached to about his shoulders.

"Don't be so sensitive Ry, you know I didn't mean it like that." The girl named Ryan was rearing back her fist until the other girl rushed forward and grabbed her hand with wide eyes. The guy looked unalarmed and turned to me with a polite smile now on his face.
