The Dinner

Everyone went to the eating hall. Sam stopped watching because she saw who were the guests that came over. It was Billie(Jean) and Tatiana. Both of theme were sitting with one chair in between them. They called Michael to sit with them and Sam saw that he went there with a bright smile.

TJ, Taryll and Brandi  was still with Sam and they saw that she got upset.

"Don't worry about them, they don't have anything with Mike!" Taryll patted Sam's head and went to sit next to Taj.
"I don't care! Hahaha" you acted not hurt.
"You don't have to lie. It's obvious!" TJ patted Sam's shoulder and went to sit down too.

Sam took a deep breath and went to sit down. Sam were too nervous to sit next to anyone of the Jackson family. Sam decided to sit between Brandi and TJ.

"Hey... Is this seat taken?" Sam nervously asked Brandi.
"Of course not! Take a seat." Brandi smiled at Sam and patted the seat as a sign that she can sit.
"Thanks!" Sam smiled.
"Why aren't you sitting with Mike? I thought he invited you." Brandi asked Sam.
"Billie and Tatiana is with him, I don't want to trouble them. And it was your father who invited me." Sam smiled at Brandi but Brandi saw that she was hurt.
"Don't worry about them! They already have boyfriends." Brandi patted your arm "And good luck with my dad!" she jokingly winked at Sam.

"Whaat? Hahaha" Sam laughed and blushed.

You looked over to Michael and saw that he was already looking at you. You turned away and got surprised because you didn't realize that you were sitting facing Jackie.

"Oh hi! I didn't see you were here." Sam greeted Jackie again.
"I was always here. I see you're upset about Michael sitting with Billie and Tatiana..." Jackie looked at Michael and them back at Sam.
"I'm not! Hahaha" Sam laughed.
"It's obvious!" Tito and TJ said at the same time and them did a fistbump.

Sam spent 20 minutes talking with 3T, Jackie and Brandi about her life and why she moved here.

"Tell me about yourself, Sam!" Joe scared Sam with a sudden question.
"Uum... Well..." Sam didn't know where to start.
"Come on, speak already!" Billie yelled from the other side of the table but you saw Michael shushing her.
"Well... I'm Samantha, but I better prefer to be called Sam. I'm almost 18. I was born in Gary, Indiana but I grew up in Britain. My family and I moved back to America about 3 days ago." Sam didn't know what to tell.
"Oh you're from Gary too?" Jackie smiled at her.
"What is your last name honey?" Katherine asked Sam while smiling with her beautiful smile.
"I'm Sam Evans." Sam answered.
"Nice meeting you Sam!" Joe smiled at her.
"Who are your parents? I mean...if you're okay with answering that." Randy asked Sam.
"My mom is Karen Evans and my step dad's name is Bob Jones." Sam smiled at Randy and she saw that Joe's smile disappeared from his face hearing her answer.

Katherine looked at Joe and asked him something. He signed Katherine to get up. Both of them went to another room.

"Where did your parents go?" Sam asked Jackie.
"I don't know, probably to talk." Jackie answered Sam.

~What is going on? Joe's smile dissatisfied hearing my mom's name. And now Jackie sounded weird too. Did I do something wrong???~

After about 10 minutes they came back. Sam saw that Katherine has cried. Brandi and you shared a look and shrugged.

For the rest of the dinner people were talking about Sam's and their own lives. Sam had a lot of fun meeting the family and they exchanged their numbers. But there was one thing bothering her, it was what happened to Joe and Katherine. After the dinner Sam walked over to Katherine.

"Hey... I saw that you were crying when came back. Did something happen?" Sam was worried about Kat.
"No, no! Everything is alright." Kat smiled at Sam.
"I clearly saw that nothing was alright! Did I do or say something wrong? If so, I'm sorry!" Sam dropped her head.
"Oh no honey! You didn't do anything wrong! We just remembered past so I got touched." Kat tilted Sam's head up and hugged her.

After hugging, Sam saw that Brandi walked past her.

"Hey Brandi, do you know what happen to your dad? He sounded weird when he answered me." Sam looked sad.
"He was just a little hurt by the past." Brandi struggled.
"What's about the past? Katherine got emotional about hearing my parent's names and your dad got weird." Sam is confused.
"It's a long story! I'll text you later when I'll have time, OK?" Brandi smiled and went to the bathroom.

It was getting late and it was time for Sam to go home. She said goodbye to everyone.

"If you need help with anything, you can feel free to call me anytime!" Sam smiled and said goodbyes to Kat and Joe.
"Thank you honey! You're so nice!" Katherine and Joe hugged Sam.

Sam turned to the others and hugged everyone and said goodbye.

"Bye Sam! It was nice meeting you!" everyone shouted.
"Hahaha it was a pleasure meeting you all!" Sam laughed but was tearing up because she didn't want to leave yet.

Janet run up to Sam and hugged her again. Now both of them were crying. After a while, Michael broke the hug.

"I'll walk you to your house!" Michael said as he put his arm around your shoulders.
"What? No! What if someone from my family sees you?" Sam stood still and turned to Michael.
"They won't! Also I want to talk to you about something."Michael looked serious and started walking.
"Come over again!" Janet was still crying.
"I will! And don't cry, well meet soon again!" Sam smiled at Janet.

Michael and Sam went outside.
