CHAPTER 72

That night we sat playing some video games, and watched movies, after dinner dany called kaal and pam got busy with maya, at times like this i feel the loneliest, i wish i had someone to say some sweet words and to joke around, i sat alone till they both came back.

Pam recently learnt nail art and experimented on us, she was pretty good, "i like these" i said looking at my long nails being painted 

"i know, nude colors suits you best" pam said, "there you go" pam said taking a picture of my hands, they look long and slender with light peach color painted on them, "next up dany" pam called, dany was typing away in her mobile, 

"hey dan, come on, i thought it was a girls night but you keep sticking to your phone" i whined, "no, sorry girls, i'll stop now" she said keeping the phone aside.

We chatted and gossiped about college mates and dany was trying to get to the topic about pam, she signaled me to get the beer, "finally it's time for drinks" i said placing the beer bottles on table. 

After some drinks, dany started telling about her time with kaal, "i feel good to have him around" dany said, 

"pam, i have been intending to ask you this" i started, 

"are you seeing someone?" dany asked leading my sentence, 

pam paled a little "i.....someone...no" she stuttered making us more curious, 

"come on pam, you're soo mean, why don't you tell us?" i said pouting, she sighed and looked down picking at the carpet, she's not willing to say but we can't leave her be, i looked at dany who seemed to struggle to ask her  "pam, as your friends we just want to make sure that he's good enough for you" i said nudging her shoulder, 

"i don't know" she whispered filling her glass and finished it in one go, 

"say it already" dany encouraged her, 

"i really don't know how to say this" pam said again filling her glass, me and dany looked at each other as pam finished up her glass, what's bothering her soo much that she's drinking up this way? 

"hey, what's the matter?" dany asked softly, pam sat silently for a while as we waited anxiously for her to spill, 

"maya" pam said atlast, my eyes went wide which mirrored dany's, "i don't think it's right, but i feel the very best when i'm with her, i feel...." pam started crying "i like her" pam confessed, crying and covering her face with hands, 

"i know it's wrong, but i feel.....i feel comfortable like how you feel with kaal, i look forward to spend time with her, i don't know what to do" she cried loudly, "i am still trying to figure out" pam said sniffing, 

Me and dany were soo dumbfounded that we didn't know what to say, dany was the first to react, "hey hey, it's no wrong. it's okay pam, why are you crying?" dany said softly hugging her from side, i silently patted her back to comfort her, 

"you guys don't hate me?" pam asked sniffing, 

"what!! no silly. why would we hate you?" i asked hitting her back, 

"really?! i was worried that you wouldn't understand this" she said wiping her face, 

"you're such a dummy" dany said hitting her head.  Now i think of it, pam has very easily got attached to this new girl, i don't know what to say, with jermy it was different, i knew they were mutual. but with pam i think we might need to help her understand maya's heart first, i sighed locking eyes with dany, she gave a small smile before turning to pam, it's time for interrogation.

 "so you like maya?" i asked, we sat in a dim light lit in the hallway and with empty beer bottles littering the table, pam nodded with a shy smile,
