Day 1.
*Knock*
I looked up from my laptop where I had just finished my online class for the day.

"Max is here." Leyla said (she's another maid).

"Okay" I got up from my bed and went down the stairs.

Max was sitting by the counter with chips and guac dip in front of him already.

Wow, he sure is making himself feel at home.

"Hey.." I said awkwardly.

"Yeah, sup?" He asked not turning to me.

I frowned and sat in front of him.

"What's up?" I asked before realizing that was the question he asked.

"I asked first." He said throwing food into his mouth and scrolling through his phone.

"I'm fine" I said.

Understatement of the year.

"I'm not fine then." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"My teammates are hanging out and I'm here." He rolled his eyes.

"Oh..you don't like me much do you?" I asked.

He finally looked at me.

His eyes went over me for a second before he looked at his phone again.

"I don't even know you." He said.

"You were my friend?" I frowned.

"Were being the key word." He said.

That did not hurt at all.

"Right. And you don't wanna get to know me?"

"Who are you then?" He asked pushing the food aside and leaning close to me.

A bit too close...

"I'm Mia, I'm 17, I love reading novels, I love force five boy band, I love dancing, I'm single, I'm being homeschooled and I hate that you're so close to me." I said.

He moved back chuckling lightly.

"What about you?" I asked smiling.

"I'm Max Kings." He answered.

"Du-uh."

He laughed and pushed himself off the high chair walking to the living room.

I followed him.

"I'm 18, I love living my life, my favorite colour is blue, I don't have a favorite musician, I'm not being homeschooled and I hate that I'm telling you this." He replied.

"You skipped relationship status?" I asked as he flopped on the sofa.

"I'm not single." He answered glancing at me then he turned in the TV.

Obviously he's not single.

"Lemme guess she's a cheerleader?" I asked.

Reading books have taught me a lot bout' this highschool networking.

Its like cliché, the bad boy or the jock dates a cheerleader until he finds a cute weird nerd or he saves a troubled girl or shit like that.

Although this guy looks like a serial killer.

"Her name's Kate and yeah she's a cheerleader." He said.

Ahhh, Kate is the mean girl Tara is always talking about.
