Friday night.

I got dressed in a short black dress and slipped on my wine heels.

Tara silently fixed my hair and makeup.

I guess no one is just in the the mood to talk.

Dealing with our own different issues.

Tara's guy issue that she has refused to solve and I have refused to intervene in cause I love the two boys involved.

My guy issue whereby I'm on a friend's with benefit contract with Max.

Ughhhhhh.

Now we were both staring at ourselves in my full length mirror inside my closet.

"We both look okay." Tara said softly and I nodded.

We both walked out of my room and down the stairs.

Luke left for a college party earlier.

Max and the other guys don't know that I and Tara are gonna be at the party.

We reached Tara's car outside and got in.

Driver's license by Olivia Rodrigo began playing on the radio as she drove out of my driveway.

"Wow look who showed up." Matteo laughed when he saw us.

"Hey Mia!" Harvey greeted side hugging me.

"Waddup?" I said. "I'm good." He replied.

"Where's Max?" I asked.

"With Kian. Planning a game of Truth or dare and seven minutes in heaven." Matteo said.

"Truth or dare!!!!" Someone yelled and Harvey grinned.

"You guys wanna play?" He asked.

"Of course!" Tara smiled and Harvey glanced at her.

"Okay. This way." He said leading out the back door and to a really large pool.

A few people were seated beside the pool ready for the game.

"You guys came?" Max looked away from Kian and waved us over.

"Yes we did." Tara responded.

"Cool. Wanna play truth or dare?" He asked.

"That's why we here." Harvey said.

"Sit then." He shrugged.

Harvey, Matteo, I and Tara sat together.

Soon Max joined us and Kate was there also. She wàs seated next to the Gigi girl from the last time.

Lily was sitting opposite to them. Looks like positions have been switched.

"Who wants to spin first?" Dan asked.

"Moi." Kate said and spinned the bottle with her perfectly manicured nails which she managed to show off in every way possible.

It landed on Max. "Oh. Truth or dare Max?" She smirked.

"Dare." Max replied. "I dare you to kiss me " Kate said and turned her smirk to me.

A couple of 'oh's and ah's went around.

I gritted my teeth inside my mouth when Max didn't ask for a forfeit and instead stood up and kissed her on the cheek.

She didn't like that of course.

Kian cheered him.

"You didn't specify where..." Max said.
