"W-What?!"
"Y-Yeah?"

At the age of 11 things were not looking well for Izuku Midoriya. He didn't have a quirk, he didn't have friends, heck, even his mom went out of her way to avoid him by working longer hours. But one thing going for him was this little space in the forest near his school that he goes to during recess that is full of flowers and butterflies.
He loved to sit there, with butterflies dancing all around him and fluttering into his hair. He would giggle and talk to the butterflies like they could understand him. He knows it's a little silly, but he doesn't care.
It didn't matter that he'd always be bruised and battered, he still loved the feeling of his butterfly friends on his discolored skin.

Katsuki Bakugou, while walking in the forest one day during recess, trailed along by extras, sees a little clearing he never noticed before. And he's only noticing it now because he could hear giggles that are familiar to him.
Hiding behind a tree, his breath was caught in his throat when he took in the sight.
Deku, always crying or frowning, was laughing, smiling, giggling. He looked so happy.
When was the last time Katsuki saw him that happy?
He watched for a couple of moments, how Deku was sitting in a field of flowers, of lilacs, marigolds, and daisies, a beautiful combination. There were butterflies all around him, dancing through the air before dropping and fluttering on his skin, causing him to giggle some more.
He could see Deku's lips moving but was too far away to actually hear what he was saying.
He felt like the butterflies invaded his stomach.
Holding onto his stomach, he felt an unknown feeling bubble inside of him. His stomach felt weird, his hands started to sweat more than usual so he had to physically will himself not to use his quirk that would surely startle the butterflies and the boy, and his face felt weirdly hot like it was on fire.
What was happening to him?
"Oi, Katsuki," one of the extras called, breaking Katsuki from his trance.
"What," he growled.
"What are you looking at?" The second one asked,
Looking back at the scene of Deku and the butterflies, he knew exactly what to say.
"Nothing, let's just go," Katsuki said, walking away from the clearing.
If he had looked back one more time, he would have stared right back into surprised green eyes.

"Oi! I'm home!" Katsuki yells as he opens the door."Welcome back!" His father says, loud enough to be heard but not quite yell, back from his office.
Taking off his shoes and putting them away, Katsuki walks over to his father's office.
"Old man, I got something to ask," the boy told his father, casually strolling into the room.
"Sure Katsuki, ask away," the man said, not lifting his head up from the table.
"What does it mean when you feel like there's a bunch of butterflies dancing around in your stomach, your hands get all sweaty, more than usual, and you can feel your face get really hot when you look at someone?" Katsuki said, keeping a straight face while he sees his father jolt in surprise.
