7: All-You-Can-Drink

Music played over speakers through Mark's house. There were people playing games, dancing, and drinking in the house, and there were people swimming or hanging around the jacuzzi in the yard. There were people everywhere and if it wasn't a solo cup or beer bottle in their hand, it was a blunt being passed around.

Lisa and Rosé were enjoying their time around some boys in the yard. They sat on lounge chairs and they laughed at the Mark and Bambam play a drinking contest. Their friend, Jackson, poured shots for the boys and kept the girls' cups busy as well.

"One more shot, kiddo. Take it like a man!" Jackson said to Bambam but Lisa interjected.

"Bam, if you're going to turn green soon, just know that I'm leaving without you," Lisa said and everyone teased Bambam.

"Ha, even Bam needs his cousin to warn him. Say, Lisa, do you think you can top him with this drink?" Jackson asked and Lisa stood up.

"Don't be so quick to underestimate me," she said with a smirk and was about to take a shot glass from Bambam but reached for the bottle in Jackson's hand.

"Lisa, you've already had plenty of drinks already. I don't think you should have another bottle," Rosé warned and held onto the bottle in Lisa's hand.

"Don't worry, Chaeyoung-ah. This is light weight. Plus, these boys should see how well I can drink," she replied with a wink at the boys.

As Lisa drank the rest of the CÎROC, Jennie approached the group with a few of her friends, Taehyung and Jungkook. They each accepted a drink from Jackson and cheered when Lisa finished the bottle and wiped her mouth with her arm.

"Jungkook's turn!" Taehyung exclaimed and poured more alcohol into Jungkook and Jennie's cup.

"I thought you said Jungkook," Jennie said as Taehyung filled her cup until it overflowed.

"We're all just having a little fun, aren't we?" Taehyung said with a shrug and it embarrassed Jennie that she made a comment.

"Yeah... Fun," she says and sips her cup. It had an awful taste but she pretended to enjoy it, no matter how horrible it smelt.

"Rosé, why don't you drink with Jennie? You can't just sit here and watch us," Mark said and offered her another drink.

Rosé took the drink and faked a smile. She wasn't a fan of drinking, mostly because every time she drank, her singing voice became terrible the next day and she'd have to warm up longer than usual.

While these teenagers drank their hearts out, two other teenagers were spending their night quite differently.

Jisoo invited Ryan over to her place to do homework together. Jisoo always helped Ryan with her math homework and Ryan always helped Jisoo with a bit of biology. There was also the lovely addition of Jisoo's adorable baby nephew, who Jisoo was babysitting.

"Jihun, this is a saturated fatty-acid right? The diagram with no double bonds?"

Ryan leaned over to look at the image Jisoo pointed to, and when he rested his arm on the back of her chair, her shoulder touched his chest gently.

"Yup, that's saturated," he said with a smile and leaned back.

"Gah!" Jisoo's nephew suddenly said and Jisoo laughed.

He was sitting in a high chair in front of the two at the table and he waved when Jisoo smiled at him. Suddenly, Jisoo's phone rang and it was a call from Jennie.

She picked up and it sounded inaudible at first then there was a voice that wasn't Jennie's.

"Uh... could you come get Jennie? She's at Mark's party..."

"Is something wrong?"

"She drank too much. You should probably come get her before she passes out."

"Ah... O-okay. Where is-"

The call ended and Ryan looked at Jisoo with worry.

"Jennie's drunk at a party again... I'm guessing her friend called me with her phone to tell me to pick her up from someone's party, but I have to babysit."

"I'll go get her. It's probably Mark's party, right?" Ryan asked and put his jacket on.

"Yeah... I'm so sorry, Ryan. I know your leg isn't fully better either so... thank you."

"Don't mention it, Jisoo. Jennie is my friend too... sometimes. I think I'll just go home after getting her so, goodnight."

Ryan wrapped Jisoo in a hug and she wished him good night as he left in his car.

Ryan drove to Mark's house and as soon as he arrived, the bright lights coming from the house were blinding and with the smoking atmosphere, he had to squint in order to see. He asked around for Jennie and most people said she was in the yard so he searched for her there.

"Hey, Ryan! What are you doing?" Bambam asked and threw an arm around his shoulder. "You remember my friends, right?"

Ryan looked around at the familiar faces who used to make fun of him, but this time, no one was laughing at him. They all just kind of stared. Nobody was making faces, with the exception of Rosé's glare at the cup of alcohol in her hand.

"I do... it's nice to see everyone again," Ryan said with a toothless smile. "Well, have you seen Jennie?"

Jackson pointed to a direction and Jennie was standing next to the pool with Lisa and Taehyung. He made his way over and no one seemed to notice him until Jennie dramatically greeted him with a hug.

"Oh, what a nice surprise! Jisoo unnie's boyfriend," she said and slinked an arm around his waist.

"You should stop drinking, Jennie," Ryan advised and took her drink from her hand. When she tried to take it back, Ryan drank the rest of it and it burned its way down his throat. Vodka was definitely a change from what he's ever drank before but it was nothing he couldn't handle...
