"Seong Jihun, please come to the Principal's office immediately. Seong Jihun, to the Principal's office..." the PA system announced.

Ryan stood up from his seat in the cafeteria, where girls were basically lining up to talk to him. It was the lunch period but he was thankful to leave since his day had been filled with people asking if he was a new student then being shocked to hear his name. At least they weren't throwing their lunches at him like they would've done last year.

"Wait, Ryan, promise we'll see each other after school today," a girl said and played with Ryan's tie.

"I- I don't think I'll have time.... I'm sorry," Ryan said quickly and walked out of the cafeteria.

He headed to the Principal's office but the Principal didn't need to see him. The office staff only returned the black balenciaga sweater he had given to Rosé to use as a pillow in class earlier that day.

"You left this in your classroom. Be more careful with your belongings next time, Ryan," the office lady, Mrs. Jee said.

"I will. Thank you, Mrs. Jee," Ryan said with a deep bow and exited the office.

Ryan used the main stairs of the school on his way down. He had never actually walked on it before as the first time he used them, someone pushed him off the last few steps and he tripped down the stairs. This was a new experience for him and people even cleared the way as he walked.

As he reached the bottom, Jennie was there too. She was arguing with her boyfriend... again.

"No, Shawn, I don't want to kiss you! Kissing me won't make anything better, just get lost!" Jennie said and walked away but Shawn held her hand.

"Why wouldn't you want to kiss me? I'm your boyfriend, aren't I? Or is it because there's someone else?" Shawn asked and people began to gather and watch.

"Like you'd care if I cheated on you. You've probably cheated on me a hundred times!"

"And what proof do you have?"

"I could ask any girl you've ever talked to. Include your teacher if you want," Jennie scoffed and broke free from his grip. She stomped into the cafeteria and Shawn followed her.

Ryan reluctantly followed too but that was only because he knew Jisoo was in the cafeteria, because he was supposed to meet her there, and he was worried that Jennie might throw her into the loop.

"Jisoo! Tell him how you saw him with fooling around with the young math teacher last year so he could raise his stupid mark!" Jennie said and Jisoo looked stunned.

"I don't think it's my business to announce that right now..." Jisoo replied as phones were being pulled out and recording the entire situation.

"Are you trying to get me into trouble?" Shawn asked but it was with a low voice. "I'm warning you right now, stop it."

"Or what? What else could you possibly do to hurt me even more?" Jennie asked.

Shawn looked at Jisoo then walked up to her table. Ryan was already standing beside her and Jisoo hid herself behind him. Shawn grabbed the carton of milk from Jisoo's lunch and poured its contents over Jennie's head.

"We're gonna have a talk later," Shawn said and left the cafeteria.

People whispered, laughed and pointed at Jennie. She wiped some milk from her eyes and Jisoo got up to hand her some napkins. Even as the milk dropped from Jennie's hair, Ryan could tell that Jennie was crying a little bit when she ran out of the cafeteria with Jisoo running after her.

Ryan followed them out of the school and Jennie cried against the back wall of the school. Jisoo wiped the milk from Jennie's face and hands, and Ryan walked over.

"I don't think you should be here, Jihun," Jisoo said to Ryan who nodded.

Before he left, Ryan handed his sweater to Jisoo.

"Let her change into this. She probably still has class and lunch is almost over so she wouldn't have time to go home," Ryan said and Jisoo smiled at him.

"But this sweater is so expensive..."

"It's okay. Just give it to her."

Ryan walked back into the school before Jisoo could deny again and Jennie had begin to calm down. Her makeup was running and the milk became sticky, causing her hair to stick to her face and her uniform to look sloppy.

"Jendeukie, do you want to go to the washroom?" Jisoo asked and wiped some of Jennie's tears with her sleeve. There were black smudges on Jisoo's uniform but she didn't mind, even though it was a white shirt and stains were her enemy.

Jennie nodded and Jisoo brought her into the school. Surprisingly, the halls were quite empty. Jisoo peaked through the hall and saw that people were all gathered in the atrium.

"What's going on, unnie?" Jennie asked and wiped her eyes. She saw that her hands were covered with her black eyeliner and began to cry again.

"Hurry, let's go to the washroom!" Jisoo said and dragged Jennie to the washroom.

Jennie changed out of her clothes and wore the black sweater Jisoo gave her. She walked out of the washroom stall with a sad look and a dripping uniform top in her hands. Luckily, teachers didn't care about uniforms until the second week of school so wearing a sweater is acceptable for now.

"Do I look bad?" Jennie asked with a sniffle and Jisoo nodded awkwardly. Jennie walked up to the mirror and sighed at the hair that stuck to her face and the messy makeup she had on.

"Let me help you wash your hair. It'll be quicker that way," Jisoo suggested and Jennie obliged.

Jisoo helped Jennie rinse her hair using the washroom sink and washed the makeup off her face. Jennie dried most of her hair with the hand dryer while Jisoo went to her locker and brought her emergency makeup kit.

"I guess stupid things like this do come in handy," Jennie smiled weakly. "Thank you, Jisoo unnie. Really."

Jisoo smiled at Jennie and gave her a warm hug. Jennie looked at the makeup kit but decided to use just the eyeliner and face lotion. This was no time to look fabulous after being humiliated.

The two walked out of the bathroom and the halls were still empty, despite the fact that class is supposed to begin soon.

"There was still a lot of people in the atrium when I went to my locker. Should we see what's going on?" Jisoo said.

"Sure," Jennie replied and the two walked towards the crowd.

When they pushed through the people, the only thing they witnessed was a group of dancers performing to a song. It probably attracted the entire school because the performers were also a popular group of boys who called themselves BTS. Girls threw themselves at them, guys wanted to be just like them. Who wouldn't pay attention?

Jisoo smiled to herself when she saw Ryan playing with the controls for the speakers that played a song. He smiled at Jisoo and her smile grew.

"Ryan probably begged the BTS boys to perform so people would forget about Jennie. He's too sweet," Jisoo thought.

Jennie looked where Jisoo was smiling and Ryan looked at Jennie now. He smiled at her too but it was more subtle. It was nothing compared to the loving smile he gave Jisoo.

"I wish someone could smile at me like that..."
