At the end of the school day, Ryan was relieved to hear the last bell. He sprinted out of class, trying to avoid the eyes of girls that kept following him, and ran to Jisoo's locker. Their lockers don't change for the duration of High School so Ryan knew exactly where her locker was.

"Jisoo! Hurry, let's walk home before she catches up to me," Ryan said, completely out of breath and panting heavily.

"Before who catches up?"

"Ryan oppa! You run really fast!" a girl shouted as she ran towards him.

"Oh... Hi, again, Sana. I was just about to go home. You should go home too. Stay safe," Ryan said quickly with a bow.

"My friends are driving me home. I wanted to offer you a ride," Sana said with a smile.

"I was going to walk home with Jisoo. Tell her, Jisoo."

"Ah, yeah, you see... Jihun- I mean, Ryan, walks me home everyday because I... am such a scatter brain and don't look where I'm going when I cross the street so... sorry?" Jisoo said with a shrug.

Ryan nodded and Sana pouted.

"Awh, okay. That's nice of you, Ryan. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then! Stay well, you two."

Sana reluctantly turned her heel and walked away. Ryan let out another breath then pulled Jisoo into a hug as a thank you. Her ear was pressed against his chest and she could hear his heart beating like a drum. Nonetheless, she wrapped her arms around Ryan and enjoyed the feeling of his warmth.

Jisoo smiled as she listened to his heartbeat. It slowed down but not by much and she wondered if the giddy feeling she had in her stomach made her heartbeat sync with his.

"Wanna go home now?" Ryan asked, "it's probably been like... two minutes of hugging."

Jisoo opened her eyes and cleared her throat.

"Had I really daydreamed about the hug for that long?"

"Let's go," Ryan said and gestured towards the exit.

While Ryan and Jisoo left the school, Shawn was waiting for Jennie in his car. She came out a few minutes after the last bell and sat in the back seat of his car.

"What are you doing? Sit at the front," Shawn ordered and Jennie crossed her arms. "Suite yourself then. Put your seatbelt on."

Jennie clicked her seatbelt on and leaned against the window. She was mentally preparing for whatever bullshit her boyfriend was about to make up to get her to forgive him again.

"You know this isn't just my fault, right? I bet you've cheated on me just as many times. And with the teacher thing, you can't tell me you've never slept with that temporary teacher last year. He couldn't have made it less obvious that he was staring at your ass every morning."

"Shut up, Shawn. I'm not in the mood for throwing blame. Give whatever dumb excuse you have and stop talking about this already."

Shawn stepped on the brake and stopped the car in the middle of the road. He turned around and looked at Jennie.

"What's your problem? If you don't want to be with me then break up with me, but all you care about is your stupid reputation! Are you eight?"

Jennie stuck her tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes. Shawn continued to drive again after having everyone behind him honk.

"Who's sweater are you wearing?" Shawn asked.

Jennie looked at her clothes and shrugged. "Jisoo unnie gave it to me. It's probably hers."

"The fuck you mean Jisoo gave that to you? She doesn't have the kind of money for a Balenciaga sweater and the cologne is making my car smell. Who's is it?"

"I. Don't. Know," Jennie said and made sure to annunciate each word.

Shawn sighed but it sounded more like a huff. "Take it off."

"What? No. I'm not wearing anything under thanks to you pouring milk over my head, you asshole."

Shawn angrily took his blazer off and threw it to Jennie, hitting her eye with a button. Thankfully she closed her eye in time and it wasn't a hard throw, but she still covered her eye in pain.

"What's wrong with you? I could've lost an eye!"

"Take the sweater off!"

"No!"

"Take it off, Jennie, I swear to god."

"Shut up, Shawn!" Jennie shouted and threw his jacket back at him, hitting him in the eye as well. "Shawn! Shawn, brake! Stop the car!"

Shawn rubbed his eyes and quickly stopped the car, but not after almost running someone over.

"Oh my god! What the fuck!" Jennie yelled then tried to open the car door but the backseats had parental lock. "Unlock the door! Shawn!"

Jennie continued to shout his name but Shawn was in shock from what happened. The person he hit was able to crawl away so Shawn turned his wheel and sped past.

"What are you doing! Drive back and let me out!" Jennie shouted. "You just hit someone with a car and you're just going to drive off?"

That was exactly what Shawn was going to do. If his parent found out, he would be dead. There was no way in hell that his parents, directors and shareholders of a big company would even think of bailing him out of jail for the second time.

"Don't speak. I'm going to take you home and you will not mention this to anyone."

"Wh- are you crazy?"

"Jennie! Just fucking do it!"

"He probably knows your license plate, idiot! You hit Seong Jihun with a god damn car!"

"Who the fuck is Seong Jihun?" Shawn shouted and Jennie went silent.

"Shit...."

"Aaaaah, shit, my leg..." Ryan groaned and held his left leg. Luckily, the car had stopped just in time and the injury looked more like a severe bruise.

"Jihun, what the hell were you thinking! Well, first, are you okay? But also, are you out of your mind?" Jisoo said with panic.

"I guess what you told Sana isn't a complete lie now..."

Jisoo flicked Ryan on the shoulder and took her phone out. She dialled a number and the person picked up right away.

"Jihun got hit by a car! Hurry and come to my location. I'll text it to you," Jisoo said and immediately hung up to text a message.

"Who's that?"

"Bambam—Hey, wait, what are you doing?"

Jisoo put her phone away and helped Ryan crawl to the sidewalk but the second he did that, the car that hit him drove off. Jisoo was able to get a view of the Jennie in the backseat, desperately trying to open the door.

Jisoo stood up and watched the car speed away. She stared right at the license plate, memorizing each letter and number displayed, then made a note on her phone.

"Shawn Lee... you're dead."
