31: Who are you?

Ryan, one of the most popular guys in the school. He drove a stunning white Porsche Panamera that had every head turning when he drove down the street, let alone in the school parking lot. Every girl had a crush on him and every guy wanted to be just like him. He was the boy of the century, the muse of the entire school, and more recently, he was also known as the school playboy.

He had girls crying over him. Unfortunately, Sana was one of them. School had just ended and she was walking in the hallway with her head hung low and tears dripping down her cheeks. Her sniffling caught the attention of Jisoo who was about to close her locker. When she shut the metal door, it startled Sana as she walked by and Jisoo apologized awkwardly as she contemplated on whether she should do something about her crying.

She decided to ask her what was wrong, and caught up to her with a hand on Sana's shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?"

Sana looked over at Jisoo and suddenly wrapped her arms around her. She cried onto Jisoo's shoulder while Jisoo gently pat her back. After a minute, Sana let go and took a deep breath which seems to take immediate effect because she was no longer crying.

"Thanks. I needed that," Sana said and smiled.

"Yeah..." Jisoo replied in slight confusion. "What's wrong? Why were you crying?"

Sana shrugged, "Ryan ghosted me."

Jisoo was more confused now. "He ghosted you? What do you mean?"

"He asked me to hang out a few times and made it seem like he liked me but all of a sudden he stopped replying to my texts. He even ignored me in the hallway this morning."

If it was possible, Jisoo was even more confused. She'd never think of Ryan as someone who would do such a thing—mislead someone into thinking he liked them only to completely ignore them afterwards. In Jisoo's mind, it didn't sound like something Ryan could do.

"But it's okay. Men ain't shit anyway. I just needed a little crying session to get on with the day. Thanks again for the hug, Jisoo. I'll see you around." Sana smiled with her usual lovely expression and waved Jisoo goodbye.

Jisoo waved back, in a bit of a daze since she didn't know Sana even knew her name... But more so, she was still utterly confused about what Sana just told her about Ryan. Her Ryan? How was it possible?

As Jisoo walked out of the school, she unintentionally listened the conversation from the two girls following behind her. They were talking about an absurd rumour... "It's true. I know it's true. I'm telling you, Ryan is definitely not a virgin anymore. He literally takes girls to the library to quote on quote study but he actually makes out with them in a private study room."

"Ugh, I'm so jealous! It has to be true. That's where the IT couple title was born and I just know Lisa kissed him while they were there. She was rubbing it in Jennie's pathetic little face."

"I'm surprised she'd kiss him to be honest. She literally shit-talked him for so long and all of a sudden they're friends?"

"Yeah, right. Didn't she say she was gonna kiss him just to prove a point to Jennie?"

Once outside the school, Jisoo walked to the side to stop and let the girls pass. She didn't know them personally but it was Sorn and Minnie—a few of Lisa's friends.

With regards to the study room rumour, Jisoo didn't know what to think of it. She hasn't done homework with Ryan for a while now so she was curious if that was what he was doing. Ryan had been coming up with more and more reasons to not do homework with Jisoo. She didn't have a problem with it but they haven't studied with each other for a few weeks now and she was starting to miss him.
