Episode Nine
CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

I shook my head and he explained that he had a fight with Rina and angrily left the house.
He had a lot to drink and on his way back home, he ran over a girl and she died at the spot.

Rina found out and was using it to blackmail him.

Frederick asked for help. At first I didn't want to, but we all needed to get rid of Rina. The sooner, the better.

I agreed to help, and he suggested an idea for getting the property papers from her.

That same day, Frederick and I returned home to see the whole mansion decorated. He informed me that Rina was throwing a party.

An hour later, we got dressed and ready to kickstart our plan into action. Rina strolled down the stairs in a black dress.

To others, she looked like a dazzling queen. In reality, she was nothing but a devil in sheep's clothing.

Frederick walked beside her and tried so hard to make everyone believe he was a happy man in love. After the news of me and Frederick's divorce, it had been one hell of a drama.

Rina got up to the podium and welcomed her guests. Frederick gave me a sign as I snuck out of the party.

I went to Rina's room.

“Where could she have dropped the property papers?” I searched for it.

Shortly, I took heed of someone ambling towards the room. My eyes looked for a place to hide, and after weighing my options, I rolled under the bed and hid myself there.

The door pushed open and I heard Rina's voice.

“Hello, why are you calling?” She spoke through the phone.

Who was she talking to?

“I have told you not to call me, I'll be the one too. And what the heck do you mean he tried to escape, can't you handle him? Or do you need someone else to do your job?” She screamed.

Immediately, I heard her run outside. I rolled out of the bed and ran after her. Who might she be going to meet? At this hour?

I snuck back to the party and Frederick found me.

“So, What's up?” He asked.

“I couldn't find the property papers.” I said as I followed Rina outside the mansion.

She got into her car and drove off. I stopped a taxi and followed her.

(Hours later.)

She stopped in front of an old building. a man strolled out to meet her, and while they both conversed in a low tone, I got off from the taxi and sneaked in using the broken window behind.
I found myself inside a room and I met Chris tied up to a chair.

He got surprised to see me, and begged me to leave before Rina found me there.

It seemed I was the only one happy to see him after being months apart. I got emotional and hugged him.

“Oh thank God, you're fine. What happened?” I asked, and someone walked in almost immediately.

Rina came in with a smile, “Hello my lovely soon-to-be brother-in-law.”

Chris's face got irritated as he said, “Seriously! Did you think that my brother would get married to you? Rina, you're nothing but a pathetic lunatic.”

He spit on the floor, which made her furious.

Rina raised her hand and slapped him.

Chris however couldn't do anything since he was tied up.
