Chapter 15

Isabella walked quickly down the hall never acknowledging anyone's presence. She turned a corner and quickly turned back. It couldn't be. Why was she here? Scarlet was right around the corner talking to a nurse..

Isabella locked eyes with Nava and she quickly made the hand signal for be quiet. Nava nodded her understanding and slowed her pace. Isabella crouched down and looked around the corner. Scarlet was still talking to the nurse.

Nava got to Isabella and crouched down as well. Isabella turned to Nava. "Scarlet's here." she said ignoring the panic creeping into Navas features. "I need you to use those ears of yours to hear what she's saying." Nava nodded and took a deep breath.

Isabella watched as Navas' face started to take on wolf like features. Her arms and legs slightly growing and ending in paws with deadly claws. Isabella looked away. Navas half wolf form was much more terrifying than her full wolf form. Nava leaned closer, her face going pale as she recognized Scarlet's voice. "She's asking what room you're in." Nava listened for half a second more. "Crap she's coming this way." Nava said jumping up.

Isabella quickly followed suit. "Quick down this hall." She said, grabbing Navas paw. Nava turned back to her human form as they ran into a nearby hallway. "Isabella what is she doing here?" Nava asked in a panicky voice.

Isabella shook her head. "I have no clue but I do know that if she finds us we won't be here." Nava nodded as they turned down another hallway. Isabella looked around. "Umm, Nava? I have no clue where a door is." she said scratching her head.

"Well well well. If it isn't my two least favorite people in the world." said a voice from behind. "Really Nava you should make sure no one can see your tail when you run away." Isabella turned around slowly. "Scarlet," she said tersely.

Scarlet smirked. "Oh come one Isabella. You can at least pretend it's nice to see me." Isabella barked a short bitter laugh. "Sure and in the meantime we can sit and have tea. Talk about the good old days before you tried to kill us."

Scarlet smiled. "Yes, speaking of that, how did you manage to find out about my attack on the expo?" Scarlet asked with a deadly calm voice. Isabella's steps faltered and Nava about threw up. "I didn't." she said. Scarlet rolled her eyes. "Oh come now Isabella. I really am curious. Somehow you have managed to avoid each attempt I've made on your life and Navas life."

Nava looked over at Isabella who closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She had never told Nava about the attempts Scarlet had made on her own life. Scarlet smirked. "Oh this is too good. You never told Nava? Oh-ho-ho. Well let me shed some light on the situation shall I? Yes I have tried to kill both of you many times. However, I attacked Nava from a distance for the most part. Every single time I have tried to kill Isabella in person. Actually that's why I came here today. I heard from a friend that Isabella was hospitalized."

Isabella reeled back. "I only told one person I was hospitalized." Isabella said, understanding dawning on her face. "Alex is a traitor." She whispered. Scarlet laughed. "Yes. Isn't it cute how trusting you were of him? Oh you have no idea how hard it was not to tell him to Kill Nava when he was on her security detail."

Isabella looked at Nava out of the corner of her eye. Nava nodded almost imperceptibly and Isabella dropped down, kicking Scarlet's feet out from beneath her. As Scarlet fell to the ground Nava turned fully into a wolf pinning her beneath one of her ginormous paws. Scarlet unsheathed a knife on her leg and swiped at Navas' side.

Nava whined slightly as the blade cut through her thick fur. Isabella quickly un armed Scarlet and pulled her from beneath Navas paw holding the knife to her neck. "Give up Scarlet." She growled in her ear. She could feel her control slipping. Nava turned back into a human and held a hand out to Isabella. "Isabella, give me the knife." she said. Isabella stared at Nava the words not quite processing in her mind. "Isabella now."
