Chapter 13

Alex strutted through the hallway smirking at the guards who shrunk into the shadows. He continued strutting towards Scarlet's office grinning wildly at the news he had for her. She would be so excited to hear this he was sure.

Alex knocked on the door not really expecting an answer. Scarlet liked to be left alone in general and rarely answered to keep the appearance she wasn't there. Alex opened the door slowly peeking in incase she thought he was some Idiot who had the audacity to enter without permission.

Expecting to see a gun pointing in his direction Alex looked around before spotting Scarlet in a trance on the floor. At first he wondered why she didn't lock the door and then he remembered that anything would become unlocked at his touch. Isabella of course didn't know this.

Alex sat down at Scarlet's desk watching her. It was unnerving to see her like this. She was on the floor stiff as a board with no emotion on her face and she would occasionally twitch. He had only seen her like this once before a few years ago when she first fell into a trance.

Scarlet suddenly sat up, yawning. Alex sat as still as he could. Scarlet got up and started to walk to the door. Alex stood up and quietly walked up behind her. She paused when he accidentally scuffed his foot on the carpet. Deciding it was now or never he took two large steps forward and grabbed Scarlet by the waist earning an elbow to the ribs.

Alex fell to the floor laughing. Scarlet recognized the all too familiar laugh and turned quickly with a glare on her face. "One of these days I'm going to kill you because you snuck up on me." she growled rolling her eyes. Alex smirked. "Well not today, I have some news that just might manage to turn that frown upside down." he quipped. Scarlet raised an eyebrow.

"Oh really? What is this little piece of information then?" she asked with a deadly calm in her voice. Alex got up off the floor. "I was just notified that our precious Isabella was taken to the hospital and wont make it to the expo with Nava tomorrow." He said, walking over to Scarlets chair.

She glared at him as he sat down kicking his feet up on the desk. "One get your feet off my desk, and two why would that make me happy?" she asked freigning patience. Alex removed his feet and rolled his eyes. "Because Isabella Is in the hospital. She cant foil our plans for tomorrow." He said watching as understanding dawned on Scarlet's face.

"Right." He said watching Scarlet's mind realize what this meant. Scarlet grinned and walked out the door. "I can't believe our luck!" She said excitedly. "First it will be easy to take care of Nava right away at the expo and then I can personally kill Isabella." She laughed.

Alex walked alongside Scarlet grinning. He loved seeing her this happy.
