Scarlet paced the room. Jake looked up from his table. "Could you please stop all that pacing? You're making it hard to concentrate." He whined. Scarlet rolled her eyes and left the room slamming the door behind her.
Scarlet slumped onto the couch and pulled out her laptop. She might as well recover the deleted footage while she waited. A few hours later Jake and Alex came out. Scarlet smirked and shut her computer. "Is it done?" She asked. Jake rolled his eyes. "Of course it's done." He said. Scarlet grinned. "Good because I just found them." She said.
Alex pulled her into a hug. "I knew you could do it! Where are they?" He asked. "Hagerman Idaho." She said into his shoulder. He set her down. "Why Idaho?" He asked. Scarlet shrugged. Isabella's always loved the mountains there.
Jake cleared his throat. "Do you still want this or did I spend hours making it for nothing?" He asked. Scarlet rolled her eyes. "It'll do the job?" She asked. He nodded. "All you have to do is aim and fire. Once the serum is in the victim's system they will be completely under your control." He said.
Scarlet grinned and took the small pistol looking weapon from his hand. He raised an eyebrow. "I do have to admit this one was a challenge. A way to control someone while they are still aware of what's going on?" He whistled. "Not easy. However I think I did it." He said.
Scarlet examined the weapon. "How long does it last?" She asked. Jake shrugged. "It should last up to 48 hours but don't immediately give your victim more of the serum because I have no clue what it will do. You should wait a few hours before administering more." He said.
ALex stepped forward and shook Jake's hand. "Thanks for your help." He said. Scarlet peeked behind him into his work room. "Can I have the recipe for the serum?" She asked. Jake laughed and shook his head. "No mam. If I gave you the serum's recipe then you couldn't come back later to buy more. Besides I could make a fortune off of this." He said.
Scarlet smiled sweetly and Alex smacked his forehead. "Are you sure? I mean since it's my weapon design and all I think I should have rights to the serum." She said. Jake shook his head again failing to notice the gun aimed at his chest. Scarlet grinned wider. "That's fine." She said.
Jake looked down at her hand and his eyes widened with fear. "Wait! No you can take it! Just let me copy it down!" He said Scarlet shook her head. "Sorry but thinking about it, this isn't something we'd want to fall into the wrong hands." She said, cocking her hip.
Jake closed his eyes. "Fine just take it but please don't shoot." He said. Scarlet pouted and Alex snorted. "Sorry but I know that you remember parts of that recipe and remembering the rest shouldn't be too hard." She said Jake's eyes flew open and he tried to say something right as she pulled the trigger.
Scarlet stepped over the body convulsing on the floor and into the room. Behind her Alex slid his hands into his pockets and watched the pool of blood around Jakes body widen.
"Darn. He was a nice guy. A little off in the head but he was nice." He sighed. Scarlet rolled her eyes. "I got the recipe. Lets go." She said. Alex grinned and walked over to her. "Do you want to take some blueprints?" He asked. Scarlet shrugged. "Not really. I can always steal some out of Isabella's mind once we've taken control over her." She said.
They stepped outside and turned towards the house. "Are we just going to leave?" Alex asked. Scarlet thought for a moment before grinning wickedly. "Well some of those blue prints are for really bad weapons that could be used against us. I say we burn it down." She said.
Alex slid his arm around Scarlet's shoulders. "Sounds delightful." He said planting a kiss on her cheek. A few minutes later they drove away to the sound of wood cracking and sirens screaming.
