Isabella rubbed the back of her neck as she walked through the store. Nava ran up and threw some crackers into the cart and ran off again. Isabella smiled and shook her head. Nava had somehow talked her into letting them come with her to the store and 'help' shop.

She turned down an aisle and rolled her eyes as she saw both Dustin and Nava walking towards her, their arms full of a variety of meats and spices. They dumped the food into the cart and ran off once again.

Isabella put a few things back on the shelves and walked around grabbing a few odds and ends. She remembered that she needed bread and turned around leaving her cart. She grabbed a few loaves of bread and turned around bumping into someone.

Quickly she sidestepped to avoid falling and reached out to catch the jar of jam that was falling towards the ground. She caught it and handed it to the owner. "Thanks,'' he said. Isabella blushed. "Oh um. Your welcome." She relied. He smiled at her and started to walk off.

Isabella shook her head and walked to her cart. She set the loaves of bread down and started scanning the shelves for nothing in particular. She couldn't stop thinking about the man she bumped into.

Nava ran up and threw some hot wings into the cart. She turned to run away again before turning. "I think we need another cart." She said. Isabella had zoned off and only mumbled in response. "Hey Isabella, are you okay?" Nava said, placing her hand on Isabella's shoulder.

Isabella jumped. "Hm? Oh yeah I'm fine." She said pinching the bridge of her nose. Nava folded her arms. "Right and the sky's pink." She said sarcastically. Isabella smiled and grabbed some soup. "Yes the sky is pink, cows are blue, and I am fine." She said.

Nava shook her head. "Don't lie to me." She said. Isabella rolled her eyes. "I bumped into someone and zoned out. I'm fine. I'm not lying, I just can't stop thinking about that guy because he was really cute and I'm mad I didn't get his name." She said hurriedly.

Nava smirked and looked over her shoulder. Isabella turned around. "I'm glad you want to know my name because I want to know yours." He said. Isabella rubbed her temples and then held out her hand. "My name is Isabella." She said. He smiled and took her hand. "I'm Jax." He said.

Isabella smiled. "I'm sorry for bumping into you earlier." She said. Jax grinned. "No it's fine. I probably shouldn't have stood directly behind you. Thanks for catching my jam though." he said. Nava stepped up. "Hi, my name is Nava. Isabella thinks you're cute and she has absolutely nothing on her schedule so if you want to ask her out to dinner that would be wonderful." She said walking off.

They both watched open mouthed as Nava walked away and then Isabella groaned. Jax laughed. "I'll take it, she's your friend?" He asked. Isabella nodded. "Yeah, my friend who loves to interfere with my love life." She said. Jax grinned. "Hey we've all got friends like that." Isabella laughed and they stood there awkwardly.

"So um. If you'd like I know a nice little restaurant." Jax said trailing off. Isabella smiled. "I would love to." She said. Jax nodded. "I have to work tonight but do you have anything tomorrow?" He asked. Isabella shook her head. "Like my dear friend said, my schedule is empty." She said smiling.

Jax grinned and scratched his head. "Okay great. Where do you live?" He asked "I live here in Hagerman." She said. Jax frowned. "Really? I've lived here my entire life and I thought I knew everyone here." he said. Isabella smiled.

"Well then you probably know where I live." She said Jax raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?" he asked. Isabella nodded. "I'm the small white house the neighborhood kids come take care of while I'm gone." She said.

Jax laughed. "Really? I bring my niece there all the time. She told me the lady would pay them for keeping it nice." He said. Isabella smiled. "What's your nieces name?" She asked "Lilly." He replied. Isabella clapped. "I love Lilly! She always brings in fresh flowers from the garden." She said. Jax shook his head. "Yeah that sounds like Lill."

A box of crackers hit Isabella in the back of the head and she heard Nava yell. "Isabella! Quit flirting and let's go home!" She called. Isabella rolled her eyes. "I need to go. I'll see you tomorrow!" She said. Jax waved and walked off silently cheering.

Isabella turned back to Nava and glared. Nava grinned. "So when are you two going out?" She asked. Isabella swore in latin.
