I'm a mess

▸ He often touched her just right at night and even better in the morning. Made it hard to leave even when she knew she had more important things to be done. It was a Sunday morning, one of the holiest days of the week and they were far from it. Loud, hot, and lustful yet so far from love. Viv wasn't angry anymore. She couldn't even recall what she was angry about. Taehyung did that to her and he did that for her because deep down inside, they both wanted to make each other happy. Even if it was just temporary.

Viv giggled as she slid on her dress from last night in a hurry to get home and shower before Seonjun arrived. "If you would have told me you were getting a room then I would have brought pajamas and extra clothes."

Taehyung drug his body across the bed to help her with the zipper in the back. It took him some time due to trailing his hands up and down her arms and back. "That would have been no fun. It's better when you sleep with me naked."

Once the zipper was up and in place, she grabbed her purse and went to the mirror to pin up her hair. "Get dressed. You're taking me home." She told his reflection in the mirror. He groaned while sweeping the floor for his clothes that were scattered about. "Hurry, please. I have like two hours."

"I don't know why you bend over backward for that broke creep. He knows you don't want him yet he'd rather look foolish rather than moving on." Viv scoffed at his words. "You know I'm right. You know you don't like him. You don't love him."

"Lay off, Taehyung. He lost his wife-"

"And now he's losing his fiance."

The two had a short stare-off before Viv decided it was best not to go any deeper into this discussion. Once Taehyung was dressed, she was already making her exit towards the hotel room door. He followed behind her without either one of them speaking to the other.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim. Please come back soon." He bowed to the hotel security guard as they made their way over to turn in his key card. "And you too, Mrs. Kim."

Viv covered her mouth to hide the shocked expression on her face. Taehyung laughed when he heard that then took her hand while they exited the hotel. The valet pulled his car out front and opened the door for Viv then Taehyung.

"Are you hungry? We can stop somewhere quick?" Taehyung asked almost as if he was desperate.

"I'm fine, Tae." She checked her phone to see if there was anything from Seonjun and there was nothing. "I do want to say thank you. I had fun."

"When can I see you again? I'm free on Tuesday and-"

Viv cleared her throat to cut him off. "I'm using one of my vacation days to go with Seonjun and Myun to Sokcho-si. The hot springs are least busy on that day." A quick scroll through her calendar caused her eyebrows to frown. "I'm pretty busy the rest of the week after that. Maybe next week?"

"A whole week without seeing you?" Taehyung frowned. "Are you punishing me for something?"

Viv smiled. "What? You did nothing wrong. I do have a life you know." She sent him a wink.

"How was the weekend with your girls?" He fed her a fork full of scrambled eggs before she could reply. "Did you miss me?" Viv giggles while wiping the corner of her mouth. "Before you answer that, I want to show you something." He reached blindly into his pocket just to pull out a black suede box. The feelings in Viv's stomach wasn't a good one. "I wanted to get you something to match the ring."

She took the small box carefully and opened it to see the diamond encrusted vine necklaces. She was hesitant to accept it but she knew she couldn't turn it down. She's already been doing that for months now.

"Put it on me?" Seonjun nodded as she turned her back to face him. "Thank you so much. I feel like shit because I never get you anything."

"You give me your love and attention and that's all I really want from you. I bought this for our date night in Sokcho-si. Myun will be with her aunt that night so it'll be me and you." He gave her a soft kiss on her neck. She slightly jolted away but he didn't notice. "Let's finish our food so I can go pack."

"Yep." She smiled while poking around her breakfast.
