Yes, it is everywhere.

"Can't believe we had no idea! I knew that man couldn't be single."

True, she should have known too.

"I heard everyone signed an NDA. We'll never know about her until he says something."

Viv listened to all the nurses gossip from behind the counter that she filed her documents on. Though she promised herself she wouldn't dig in on the rumors, she couldn't help herself. She wanted to know what everyone else knew and hopefully that they wouldn't know more.

Instead, she's faced with everything she read in the article and how it's just being repeated by everyone else.

She lost Seonjun and Myun, but for what? The girl in the article wasn't Viv. It was Kim Hikyu. The woman Taehyung reminded Viv daily that she shouldn't worry about. The woman she knew he was sleeping with but didn't want to believe it. The woman who was his secret wife as told by Taehyung himself.

For some reason she didn't believe him. He's been lying to her all this time. What reason could there be that he isn't lying about having a secret wife too.

"Nurse Viv!" The woman over the counter cooed. "I see you don't have your ring on today. Must be attending a surgery this afternoon?" She winked.

Viv looked down at her ring finger that she totally forgot was exposed. Taking her ring off didn't feel like a big deal since it should have been gone a long time ago. She just wasn't expecting Seonjun to go with it.

"Hmm... you're right. I might have forgot it on my dresser this morning. Woke up so late that I didn't have time to get properly dressed." The woman stared at her suspiciously. "How about you get back to work now. If not, we have grunt work that needs to be done." The woman quickly got back to looking at her computer screen as Viv took her documents elsewhere.

She took a few strides down the hall to glance into open rooms as she made her way to her office. Before she could get ten feet close, she saw Taehyung bowing to the CEO then shaking his hand.

Viv hasn't spoken to Taehyung since she woke up that morning in the hotel and read the article. That was three days ago in which today was her first day back at work.

"Oh!" Her boss called out while waving his hand at her. "There is Chief Physician Viv." He motioned Taehyung her way. "Our investor Kim Taehyung would like to speak to you. It's urgent." He gave her a light squeeze on the shoulder as he passed by to leave them alone to speak.

Taehyung started the conversation off by clearing his throat. The entire situation was awkward as is. Was he going to make it worse. "Viv... I would like to invite you to the penthouse to have dinner with me. I think we have plenty to talk about."

"No. I already took two sick days and was late this morning. Can't afford to be more behind than I already am. Some of us need jobs."

He chuckled. "You know you'll always have a job here with me running the show."

She gave him a warning glare. "The only reason I will be going to your penthouse is to stop by and return all the pointless shit you've gotten me over the years. You are a liar and a bag of worthless crap. I will not stand here and let you manipulate me into thinking you did it all for the greater good or that your lies will be rewarded with me being anywhere near you. You and I are done."

"Viv—"

"Fire me. Do whatever you want. But I'm drawing the line here." She took a look around to make sure no one heard the words she said. When the coast was clear. She left him standing in the middle of the hall to go to her office and cry.

The spot next to Taehyung's car was empty and for the first time in forever, Viv wasn't tempted to park there. Instead, she found a parking spot closer to the exit so she wasted no time getting out of here when it was time to go. Viv grabbed the designer bag filled with everything Taehyung has bought her down to the nail polish that was his favorite color.

No one gave her any weird looks like she thought they would. The code to the penthouse even worked. It was as if a normal day had passed and she was the only one paranoid.

"Can you transfer the funds then. I'm planning on closing the fundraiser account by next week."

She heard his voice but didn't see him. A part of her wanted to place the bag on the ground and leave but she knew she had to see him one last time before never seeing him again.

"Viv?" Her neck quickly turned towards the bedroom door where Taehyung was halfway hanging out of it. "Listen Dan, I'll call you back. If the payment doesn't go through then that's the last time I do business with Americans." He quickly hung up the phone to go over to her. Instead of hugging him, she held up the purse that put space in between them. "What's this?"

"I told you I was returning your things to you. So just take it so I can go."

Taehyung sighed. He then pushed her weak arm out the way to go over to the couch. "Hikyu is my wife but we aren't like that."

"Tae... I don't want to hear it."

"We got married because that's the only way our grandparents would release the money they held away for us. She is in fact my financial advisor but the moment my grandpa passes, we're divorcing. Nothing changes except for the fact that we'll both be free."

Viv was listening to every word he said even though it hurt her to hear it. A tear slipped her eye and she still wanted to get rid of the bag. "Just... please."

"If you leave me I will physically crumble. I wanted so bad for it to be me and you but I couldn't risk losing that money. I should have told you but you always react so... negatively to everything."

All it took was for him to reach over the couch and pull Viv around just so she can fall on his lap. She fought for a second but knew it was no use. She wanted to be there.

"I know I said I'll do anything for you and I meant that, but for some reason it always feels like I get punished afterwards." He pulled her closer to his body. She didn't feel rigid or stressed. She just caved into his existence. "I love getting punished by you if it means I still get to see you."
