▸    "Gloria. I have some good news in these up and coming months." They squealed and giggled inside Viv's office. In the middle of decorating it, Viv decided they needed a break before they got too carried away.

"Is it about you and your mystery man?" She cooed. "Can't wait to see his face! I'm tired of just hearing about him."

Viv blushed as she plopped down in her fluffy chair. "I know. Things are complicated right now but I swear that it'll all blow over and you and him could be best friends." Gloria rolled her eyes. "All the drama aside. Last week, he showed me something that made my jaw drop." The suspenseful pause left Gloria at the edge of her seat. "Fifty percent ownership of all of the land he has dispersed across South Korea and United States."

"You're lying!" Gloria jumped. "You're lying!"

"No, I'm not! He said the moment we get married, it's all mine. He trust me with such an investment like that which only means he truly loves me." Viv hugged herself in pure bliss. "For once I actually think it might be genuine feelings."

"You've been dating this man since fresh out of college and you just now think it's genuine feelings? That's a red flag if I've ever seen one." Gloria walked over to straighten out a picture on the wall.

As Viv watched her, she started thinking that maybe she was right. Things seem to be going too good and it's never like that with Taehyung. He went from keeping them on the low to wanting to marry her. He went from his fortune to their fortune.

"Gloria, can you excuse me for a second? I just have to make a quick phone call." Gloria nodded while getting back to decorating. Viv left her office with phone in hand and contemplated on the text she wanted to send. When it finally came to mind, she wasted no time.

"President of Honor!" Viv looked up to see the CEO striding down the hall right to her.

"Mr. CEO," she bowed. "Do you have any surprising news for me? What about more paperwork?"

He chuckled at her attitude laced voice. "I just wanted to see how you were doing? I heard you were doing a bit of decorating. With your title being as busy as it is, you passing out from work exhaustion wouldn't look so good now would it?"

"I think you're in my business," she smiled back.

"Oh, President of Honor. Now how could you say such a thing? We're a team here. Checking up on each other isn't so odd." He smiled harder.

"It is when it's never been done before."

The CEO took a few more steps closer to her just to whisper something close to her ear. "You slept your way to the top didn't you? Was is Gu Jaelim? No, no. Lim Rojeun, wasn't it? Better yet, Kim Taehyung. Such a powerful man can only get you this far. It's got to be him."

She quickly took a step away while staring at him in disgust. "Very unprofessional, Mr. CEO."

They glared each other down for a solid minute before the CEO broke out into a friendly laugh once again. "Ah. You might not know it but I have your secret in my hand. Been in the business too long to be fool. I've seen women like you come and go. They get a taste of money and feel as though they have it all but there is always someone more important. More loved. You will not last."

"I don't know what—"

"You can play stupid. You can play house wife or mistress all day and night, but you are see through. I worked my ass off. I worked for CEO and you will not get it. I'd rather be killed execution style in front of the world than give you shit of my blood, sweat, and tears!"

All eyes landed on the man who was red in the face as he spat words in Viv's face as quietly as his anger would allow him to. "Mr. CEO? Do you need to go to our in-house certified councilor to solve any problems you might be experiencing today." She spoke loudly and clearly. "We all have bad days but the last thing we do is take them out on each other."

The CEO gasped at her changed tone. Gloria then walked out of Viv's office door that the two were stood in front of. "Mr. CEO?" Gloria asked. "Do you?"

"No! I do not for christ— you two get back to work and quit playing dress up!" He then stormed off with a tight grip on his files.

Gloria scoffed at his demeanor. "What's his problem?"

"Jealousy I guess."
