CHAPTER 14

You are my PAST. We've to accept it. But...every time I see you, why do I have these mixed feelings?

JIEUN P.O.V

"So what you are saying is that guy who showed up at the orphanage is your ex. And he insulted you like that and here you are still talking with him."

Yumi said for the fifth time in the last two hours of me narrating the story of me, Taehyung and Daniel. I tried my best to walk out of the promise I made with her but here I am stuck at her house under the excuse of a sleep over and narrating my life story as some sort of a bedtime story.

"Ah~ you know what Jieun?"

"What?"

"If I knew this truth back then, I would've ripped that beautiful face of his from my bare hands and shredded it into pieces so no girl would be there in his life again."

Her threat made me laugh.

"Why does both you and Taehyung have murderous thoughts?"

"Of course! That Daniel guy deserves to be dead. I don't understand why you still care about that asshole."

Her last comment made me go into thinking mode. To tell you the truth I too wonder why I still care about him. It's not like I still like him. But why though?

"I don't like him anymore, right? I moved out from him. Yeah, I've Jimin now. I love Jimin. But then...what were those feelings I felt when I saw him? Am I deceiving myself?"

"Earth to Jieun!"

Seeing a finger snap in front of my eyes I was brought back to my senses.

"Y-yes?"

"Where were you lost?"

"No-nothing. No where."

Shaking my head I avoided the question and snuggled further inside my blanket.

"Jieun-ah."

"Hmm."

As soon as I hummed in reply, Yumi rolled over to the edge of the bed and looked at me who was on the floor.

"Does Jimin know that that guy is your ex?"

"As Taehyung said, yes."

"So he knows all the umm...insults that guy has thrown at you."

That was more like a statement rather than a question.

"Well...not exactly. Taehyung has said that Daniel did ill talk about me but he hasn't gone into depth. He said that it wasn't his place to tell everything to Jimin."

"Hmm."

Agreeing with it Yumi rolled back to where she was before.

"... You better talk with him. The sooner the better. What I say is, what ever the stuff is...you shouldn't hide anything from your boyfriend. Whatever might come in the future you two should face it together. And also don't keep your boyfriend in the dark regarding your past. He has a right to know."

"Got it mom!"

Giving a thumbs up I said.

"Yah! I ain't your mom!!"

Throwing a pillow at me Yumi whisper shouted trying not to wake up her sister sleeping nextdoor.

"And don't throw your filthy pillow at me."
