CHAPTER 12

I still wonder why everything changed like that in the blink of an eye on that day. I'm still finding the reason as to why you changed like that; why we changed like that.

NINE YEARS AGO
THIRD PERSON P.O.V

It's the lunch hour at Korean Arts High School. Park Jieun and Kim Taehyung were at their usual spot with their lunch trays waiting for Kang Eui Geon; friend of Taehyung and Jieun's boyfriend.

Kang Eui Geon is better known in school as Kang Daniel and he is well known for his dancing skills.

"Ah~ why is it taking this long for that dude to take a pump? Does he have any diabetes or what?!"

Taehyung muttered under his breath in annoyance.

Trying to muffle her laughter Jieun cleared her throat loudly before speaking.

"Relax Tae-ah. There must be a long cue or something. And as I know he doesn't have any diabetes."

"Yeah, yeah. Go on and take your boyfriend's side as always."

Another complain left Taehyung's mouth. Taking a piece of carrot in to his hand Taehyung started to munch on it while keeping his eyes fixed on the way where Daniel is supposed to come.

"Of course! I'm taking his side. He's my boyfriend after all."

"Whatever."

Not caring about what Jieun said at all, Taehyung brought and abrupt stop to there conversation.

"Anyway... how's it going with your training?"

After taking a sip from her apple juice Jieun asked Taehyung who has started to munch on his second piece of carrot.

"Tiring. But still hanging in there 'cause that's where my passion lies."

"I can understand how you are feeling Oppa. Being a dancer isn't easy as well. Practice, workout, diet. Practice, workout, diet. That's my daily routine. There's a million times I felt like to give up even before starting my carrier but...as you said, that's where my passion lies. Dancing is my passion."

Placing the half eaten carrot back on the tray Taehyung looked at Jieun with understanding eyes. Placing a hand on hers which was resting on the table, Taehyung awakened his voice to give a word of encouragement.

"Yeah, I feel the same. But quitting won't bring me anywhere. If I do so, I feel like I'll regret it in the future. That's why I'm still fighting for my dreams despite it's taking every ounce of energy away from me. You too, love what you do and hang in there. I know you can make it. Just believe in yourself."

Smiling brightly Jieun placed her other hand on top of his.

"You too Oppa, believe in yourself. And I know you too can make it. I'm sure you are gonna be so....famous one day."

"I doubt that."

"Come on Oppa. Trust me, that's going to happen. You'll have lots and lots of fans just like millions of stars surrounding the moon."

"Thanks sweetheart."

Pushing a stray strand of hair fell over Jieun's face Taehyung said.

"Wow! So this is what you guys were doing behind me?"

Daniel's pissed voice echoed behind Taehyung making both him and Jieun jump out of their skin.

"Oh Daniel! When did you come?"
