ECHO examined the building they were once held prisoner inside with the shock collars wrapped around their necks. She noticed beds were gone, the fire in the fireplace gone, and the people who used to be inside now gone, apart from one person.
A little girl.
Echo walked forward, crouching down in front of Madi, and placing her hand on Madi's mouth. Madi widened her eyes. She seemed stunned to see a woman Falo always used to talk about when telling stories, seeming like she didn't expect to see Echo.
"Are you Madi?" Raven whispered, keeping her voice low.
"Yes, she is!" Echo snapped. "I know who Madi is!"
Madi swallowed thickly, fear hitting her, as she nodded her head up and down.
"Okay," Echo glanced to the floor. She moved her hand, only for Madi to flip on her back and try to grab a dagger. Echo stopped her and slammed her back down on her back.
"Hey, easy," Raven hissed at the little girl who helped steal Falo away. "Echo, let her go," Raven noticed how terrified Madi seemed despite that she knew Echo wouldn't hurt her. "We're not here to hurt you."
"I know," Madi whispered as she sat back up. "I'm scared that Clarke and Falo will come back. . ." she trailed off. Echo and Raven furrowed their eyebrows in confusion. "And I know why you're here, you want me to convince Falo to lead Wonkru into that gorge."
They nodded.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Can you get the collar off before they come back?"
"Safe to say, she's not up for mother of the year," Raven crouched down in front of Madi, quickly getting to work to take off the shock collar. "Shaw, can you shine the light on her collar?"
Shaw slowly nodded, taking the flashlight from Raven's grasp, and shining it on Madi. "Madi, why are you scared of Clarke and Falo?" he questioned.
"They're. . . crazy."
"Oh." Shaw glanced around the room, uncomfortable.
"You know, it's nice to finally meet you." Madi started, speaking to Raven.
Raven lightly laughed. "You, uh, mind talking to someone else, kid? I'd rather not mess up and. . . I'd rather your head not explode." she joked, nodding over to Shaw.
Shaw faintly smiled, but when he heard noise, he glanced behind himself. Madi looked up at Raven, opening her mouth to speak, but she quickly shut it, her face going as white as a ghost. Raven glanced back when she saw Clarke and Falo walking through the door with guns aimed at them, her jaw dropping.
