Chapter Nine : Sleepover 💤
The night was still young and after our little private meeting, we were back in the hall. Sebastian had disappeared to find Eddie more drinks and I was standing with the girls.
"Rosie! This is Nash." Maddie said, clutching to her husbands arm. "Isn't he just dreamy?"
I smiled. "It's so nice to finally meet you."
"Likewise!" He smiled, before looking back at his wife. They looked like they were very much in love. Oh how badly I wanted that.
"Where did you and Lake disappear to?" Demeter asked, her eyebrows wriggling.
"Ladies, I do not kiss and tell!" A giggle leaving my lips, obviously giving away what we did because that was enough for the two older ladies to squeal.
"I knew it! I just knew it! You two are going to get married and have many beautiful children." Demeter said, her arm slung my shoulder as she lead me over to the karaoke machine.
She handed me a microphone and we both sang "What makes you beautiful" by One Direction very beautifully.
And by beautifully, I mean very very terribly.
It wasn't long before Maddie was pulling the mic out of my hand to steal the spotlight, which I didn't mind one bit.
I laughed and danced to one of the greatest groups of all time.
I glanced around the room, looking for a certain pair of eyes. There he was, standing by the "bar" his eyes locked on mine. He was enchanting me with his gaze, my legs moved towards him and I can't help but feel like he was the one moving me.
"Having fun?" He spoke once I reached him. Of course I was having fun!
"A lot of fun." I smiled, "are you?"
"I am now." He said, chugging down the rest of his drink.
"I am getting a little tired though." I laughed, the alcohol pretty much wearing off and I was beginning to feel very sleepy.
"You'll be alone up there?" He questioned, his hand reaching for mine.
"Yeah, no one is home. Just me!" Apart of me was wanting him to come up with me, not to do anything because it's a little too soon for that. But to just be company.
"You can come back to mine, if you'd like." He said and I was not expecting it.
"I'd love to." I smiled at him, i'd never had so much eye contact with a single person before.
I'll finally get to see what he is like outside of the hotel.
"Let's dip now, Eddie will have it covered." He said, putting his now empty cup down.
"Okay." I said while letting him lead me out.
"Here." He said, wrapping his coat around my shoulders.
The cold air felt nice against my face, Sebastian's fingers were laced with mine and the moment just felt perfect.
"It's not far to walk, only down the road." He said, I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was smiling.
It took us ten minutes to reach his house, it was a small one bedroom home. Most of his furniture was grey.
"Make yourself at home." He said while shutting the door behind us.
He took his coat off of me and hung it on the coat hanger that stood next to the door.
"Well, shall we watch a movie?" He asked, pulling me over to the couch. "Take a seat, i'll get some snacks!"
"Okay, sounds good." I smile and sit down on the couch. It was only a small couch that could fit two people, pretty much perfect for us right now.
The hotel is probably ten times bigger than his house, it's a perfect size for one person.
"I've got chips and soda." He said, placing them all on the coffee table that sat in front of us.
——
We had already watched two movies, the first was "50 Firsts Dates" and we were now onto "The Princess Bride"
"I can't believe you've never seen this! It's a classic!" I say to him, absolutely dumbfounded by the fact that he's never seen it.
"It's okay so far." He smiled, his arm slung around my shoulders.
I could feel his gaze on me and I really did feel a little self conscious. My cheeks were heated at this moment.
"What?" I asked, matching his glance.
"Nothing." He smiled. The rest of the movie had gone by quick and Sebastian still wasn't impressed. The television screen was now black and the only light we had was from the dim lit lamp in the corner of the room.
"So, tell me. Do you plan on staying here all your life?" I asked him, genuinely interested.
He shook his head. "No, not my whole life. As soon as I get a better job opportunity, i'll be leaving." He said
I couldn't help but feel sad with his response. He could get a better opportunity tomorrow and he'd take it.
"I don't think I could ever been stuck in one place. I've always moved around, I can't imagine growing old, having kids and them growing up in one spot." He told me.
"That's one thing we have in common, always moving that is." I smiled.
I'd like to settle down somewhere, some place one day.
"Maybe one day i'd find that forever place or my forever home to stay, grow old and all that but right now, it's nothing I can imagine."
"I can see myself growing old with my husband and three kids." I begin. "We'll live in a perfect house with white picket fencing around the whole area. I'll have my own garden in the backyard, we might even have a bunny or two." I say, a smile on my face as I talk about my dream of life.
"You've got everything figured out then, don't you?" He smirked,
That smirk
"That I do." I whisper, my eyes fluttering shut as sleep takes over me.
